I have only recently found the joys of Palitoy items- the carded figures are so cool! Much better than those boring Kenner ones!
My question is:
Are Palitoy boxed ships/playsets as sort after as the figures? Is there much of a price difference between kenner and palitoy boxed items?
I have just looked through my boxed collection, and spotted some nice Red and Blue Palitoy logos on a few items:
Tauntaun ESB Mint
Snowspeeder ESB Fair
Slave 1 ESB Mint
Rebel Transporter ROTJ Poor

Also found
Bi/Tri logo (They have a white sticker instead of kenner/palitoy)
ROTJ Falcon
ROTJ AT AT

They all have inserts and instructions, got them from an auction, about 12 months ago, i got them for buttons!

I also have a strange Palitoy At At commander, He's on a ESB 45 back card, but has a strange two legged bubble type thing! I have never seen these before, are they an easy to find variation? The card is pretty beat up :(

Any knowledge would be cool!

Cheers, Ed

Yes they are in UK, not so much in the USA, obviously there are Stateside collectors after non Kenner produced item but they are the minority, thankfully.
Price wise, again its an origin thing, something like a Palitoy taun taun on ebay UK shouldnt cost any more than a Kenner version on ebay.com but if Palitoy is your thang then you might pay the bit over for it, christ knows many of us here have and will probably continue to do so.

Double stem aka two prong bubbles arent strictly speaking a variation, personally i love 'em more than the regular style bubble, to each his/her own.

Yeah i like the double stem bubble, it makes a change to the regular ones i have!!
Thanks for clearing that up for me, collecting star wars is so confusing, you think you get your knowledge up to speed, then you find out about Palitoy, Ledy, Clipper, Meccano, Takara etc etc etc!
The quest continues.............. :)
Cheers, Ed

Palitoy is more of a value to us collectors in the states as It was a UK thing for the most part in exception to Canada. As far as Palitoy carded figures go I personally value the ones with the Large Palitoy logo more.
