I have tried searching but is there a rare list for 45As?

Also how rare is the Dengar, I have always found this unusual as the bounty hunter offer is for Dengar so for me its an odd MOC

Thanks, Grant

They're all pretty rare to be honest but the rarest (of the known examples) has to be the Boba Fett. Dengar is pretty rare, though there are examples out there. There are a few like the Yoda were a card back has never been seen.

Do you have some as I would be interested in buying if you do? :D

Rare of course depends on whether you mean rare in terms of items in existence or rare in terms of times for sale!

I doubt any exist in single examples, though some seem to be found far less often than others.

When I got my 45a Dengar (from Andy funnily enough in 2002) it was the only one publically known of. Since then at least another 5 have been found.

In general 45a are probably amongst the most common ESB palitoy logo cards. In that I mean you could probably put a small collection (say around 4 or 5) of them together quicker than on either 30 or 41 several times over.

They would include

Black Bespin guard
At At commander
4-Lom
R2 sensors cope
Tie fighter pilot

After that they become a tougher. Some such as the fett, han hoth, Lobot are tougher on 45a than 30 or 41.

There's no real logic that I can see. Any complete rarity list would be nothing more than a rough guide, relevant only to the time it was produced. The following year it could all change.

That said i still think those 5 I mentioned above have pretty much always been among the easier ones to find.

I can definitely confirm this. I got 4 of those 5 very easily, and have been close to buying the R2 several times. I have a Lobot, but yes, it's only a 41.

Yes thankfully it didn't me long to acquire those 45a's either and they ranged from £60-£300 in great condition. The R2 cost me top end just because it was purchased graded triple 85.

They r real nice Palitoys too and all being debut MOCs makes them real 8)

I am just shocked at the prices.

I am old school and collected in the old model and collectors mart days. I think I traded with some of you back then (90s), but I have dropped off vintage sw.

Things were just so different back then. Its was much harder to find stuff but there was a thrill to the chase. Nothing like going to a toy fair and seeing a vintage stall packed out. Nowadays its all pretty much tired stuff with dog eared boxes or trashed cards/bubbles and anything that's decent costs ££

I can remember going to memorabilia back in the 90s and you were just spoilt for choice. Rows and rows of carded figures on stalls and all at prices which seem so cheap compared to today.

It was a lot different back then but you could still find vintage in shops in the early 90s. A long time has passed since then...
