Palitoy 30 back reseal focus

Here's the last of my Palitoy reseal focuses and with this run I was really only after just examples of the first 10 released on 30 backs so didn't seek out the best conditioned ones to complete the run. I still had a lot of fun putting them together and I still have some work to do on a few of them so this lot should keep me busy for a while longer.

Whilst going through these figures for this thread I noticed that only the Imperial Stormtrooper is a B back and the rest are A's. Of course the Yoda's and Boba Fett are also B's as they were only released on this 30 back version but I've included them in this grouping as they are such key characters from ESB (and I was lucky to get hold of them when I did).

For me this is as far as I ever wanted to go with the 30 backs and even though I do have a few of the other characters on opened bubble card backs they're pretty tatty and didn't feel the need to go after them all. I'm happy with what I managed to put together over the years and it's been really nice getting them all out again and giving them a good look over.

Really appreciate the comments all and this set was put together with the help of a couple of forum members over the years so a big thank you to those people ( if you're still around on here). As mentioned this wasn't the set that I spent the most time putting together and there's still work to be done with them but it all keeps the hobby ticking along nicely!

The Fett is obviously the star of the show, and I might be wrong, but is it a painted head version? Looks like it in the photo. Weren't Palitoy Fetts HK COO's not Taiwan?

I think the FX7 is my fave though, there's something really very cool about that cardback - and the Luke Bespin too!

A lot of these look like MOC's rather than re-seals.

It is a painted head Fett (well spotted that man!), although I have no idea if this figure came with the card back as it was sealed like this when I bought it off of Lee Gregory about 5 years ago. I like to think though that they sent some of these Fetts out on 30 backs, adds a bit of charm

It's so nice to hear that all the care and research I put into trying to get these right is appreciated and I'm also glad that I've managed to put some of these back together after spending so long in parts.

Thanks for the comment Lee and no, they're all intact as they were when released. I'm trying to decide if it's worth risking opening up a couple of them to sort out a footer and their weapons at the moment so that will probably be something for the to do list. I do like to get these things looking right if I can (I know you feel a similar way), but it's also a little risky once something has already been reattached......I'll still probably give it a go though

I have exactly the same job facing me with a couple of my reseals. When I acquired them, the footers were missing and or weapons were rattling around loose in the bubbles, or else were simply incorrect. Like you, I will eventually take the plunge and carefully slice them open and sort them out, so if you hit upon a good method for doing so, feel free to share it! I was planning on taking a razor blade / Exacto knife, and try sliding it exactly under the width of the stuck down part of the bubble, avoiding the litho both inside and outside... Sounds easy, doesn't it? ;-)
