Be warned this is the figure I won at Lacy Scott and Knight a month or so ago, which they kindly sent in a bubble wrap envelope, they gave me a full refund but wanted the figure back and has been subsequently won. What the seller has failed to explain is it has a big crack on the bubble it is lifting and is crushed at the bottom. There is a sticker mark to the front, which is residue from the lot number sticker!!!. With multiple creasing to the card, worth £20-£30 in my opinion. The description is very misleading.

Yep Their useless

They couldnt even get my address right on the invoice. Sending it to the wrong house on my street even after I had told them it was wrong and they promised they would change it. Did they ****.

That person return the item back to them and THEY DIDNT EVEN RING ME TO TELL ME THE ITEM HAD BEEN RETURNED! So their I was over 2 weeks after the auction had finished still waiting for my item. Whenever I ring up to enquire where my item is they cant tell me.

I get pissed off and ring and demand to speak to the Manager who eventually finds out it had been returned!
Got it in the end well packed and in he condition I won it in. Anyways their **** up cost them as they had to post it twice   Tossers!

Shame you didn't list it as Palitoy and a moc, you may well have done a bit better with it. I'm sure you're just glad to see the back of it though after what it went through, terrible state of affairs!

I missed that bit in your original post. Looks like the person who won it thought they'd make large by reselling it and made the school boy error of not listing it properly.

All I can think is that it wasn't really a Star Wars fan and didn't really know what it was.

I bought this figure for £107. When it arrived all looked okay but then I realised that the bubble was cracked albeit faintly and there is some bubble lifting due to glue drying (which is no one's fault and I can live with). I can also live with sticker damage and creases for an item of this rarity.
Anyway I wasn't happy with the bubble damage since I explicitly asked the seller if the bubble was fully sealed and they said YES - so I raised the issue with the seller and ebay. Then having stumbled upon this thread I told the seller that because of the damage i'm prepared to agree a partial refund and pay £30 for the figure. I never heard back from them for about 5 days and then they came back offering a £75 refund.
So thanks for starting this thread and despite seeing the warning after the event I've still managed to get an original un-opened ( I think) Palitoy 30 back for a fraction of the price.

I've just seen the photo of Lobot in the Lacy Scott and Knight auction and yes they ruined and pretty nice bubble and £80 would have been a great price - did they have a few 30 backs in the sale or just this one?

I was the other bidder.

I feel bad now - you would have got it for £27 or so if I hadn't put my bid in.

Such a shame there is a saga behind this figure. All to common on ebay.

I'm still on (was going to quit) but I'm still opening cases

(I got a nice MOC Weequay which arrived wrapped in brown paper the other week  )

All in all I ended up paying £32.50 for a 'sealed' Palitoy 30 back.
I'm made up since I never thought I'd get a genuine 30 back without shelling out ££££'s.
This time they sent Lobot in a small box with the figure placed diagonally (since the box wasn't wide enough  ) wrapped in bubble wrap.
At first I thought this looks great then I started to carefully feel the bubble with my finger and noticed the slit and I was disappointed but it displays well and it's not big enough for the figure to escape. There is bubble lifting but this is minimal and unavoidable when you think the packaging probably cost 5p back in the day.
Would love to know any pre-ebay history about this figure from anyone on here?
Amazed that it was in a David Dickinson style auction - makes me wander if it was found in a house clearance since most carded figures are with collectors who maximise their profit on flea bay these days.

Hi,

Glad it went to a good home, though I'm still mad about what happened. LSK had two of these for auction in the space of a few months. I was lucky enough to have won them both and I am certain they don't have any more. They must have both come from the same vendor. I was warned about the second one coming up for auction. The first one won is a solid c8 as can be seen in the picture with the only major issue being a crease to the bubble on the right hand side. The second one we all know about, which you now have. The bubble on yours was better than the one above but the card was nowhere near as good.

Cheers

Andy

That's a great example mate did you get that for under a ton too?
I definitely own the uglier of the Lobot twins.
