Sounds like you boys have fantastic collections - it was great reading your journeys in completing your 12 backs - alas I'll never know what that feels like
It's probably almost impossible to do it for the world, but has anyone done a census to find out how many complete Palitoy 12 sets there are in existence - just people on here would probably suffice??
I remember when I was at that off-world shop in Milton Keynes all those years ago that the lad who served me showed me the laser light text on the back of the cards which I presume is the 12A and 12B which you allude to?
I must check my cards to see what mix I have.
Another question, are all your 12 backs AFA or UKG graded I was thinking about getting my Luke graded but I'm a little apprehensive about it;
1) It might get lost/damaged in the post
2) The grade will be low
worst of all
3) It may be a reseal
I got in touch with the UKG guys a while back to see if I could bring it down in person and have it graded then and there. They could verify and grade the piece, let me know and then depending on how sad or happy I was I could just pay them for the service so far or have it proudly placed in a perspex box.
I thought that was reasonable but they said they were too busy to arrange to do something like that so he's still ungraded.
The only blemish's I seem to remember (cos I keep him at my parents) is that the card has a very slight curve from the top of the bubble to the top of thee card and the top of the bubble has a minor white stress line, there's no dings in the bubble at all..probably best just leavinag it and appreciating how rare it is regardless of any official grade..
