I couldn't agree with you more. I picked this up for a decent price and had it graded myself but this is the only bargain (if you could call it that!) I have ever found. I would love to have a Soundwave /Prime/Hot rod/Megatron in the future.

Out of all the toy lines of the 80's this is one of the most difficult and expensive to collect but it is one of the best.

As i am proud of my latest non SW addition and there are some MOTU fans aboard here, it might show it of here aswell.

That's fantastic stargeezer. Always wanted one of those. Not cheap tho are they?

You really need to get one, they look great.
This is an 12back and not an 8back wich are even more expensive (think off it like an 20back luke instead of an 12back luke)

But still it was not cheap, got most off my SW 12backs cheaper.
And on top of the purchase i had to pay 154 euro taxes and import duties...
Yes 154 euro that's insane. I now officially hate those fuckers at customs!

I finally finished my Series 3 carded cobra run and only need two more figures to complete Action Force Series 1, 2 & 3.

It's been grate collecting these figures, very different from Star Wars. You get few mint examples and some carded figures are so rare. When I say rare, I had never seen an AF Doc for sale before I got this one.

Time to get back to the Star Wars focus. If any one comes across a carded Flash or Snow Job give me a shout.

Since my Star Wars collecting has been a little slow recently I branched out into other area and currently I'm working my way through the Masterpiece series of Transformers. I have to say they are very good if a little pricey, the only trouble is that I now have a real urge to kick off on the G1 Transformers.

Nice Action Force Mocs Mr Kenner. Used to have all those figs.

Loving the Transformers ODB. I have always been a big fan. The originals in box are way to expensive. I bought some Hasbro reissues which themselves weren't cheap but they look amazing and are identical to the originals. They'll have to do me as i'm never gonna fork out the 100s of £s to get an original.

I had a whole heap of G1 Transformers for trade on here last year

Funny you should ask about a Snow Job. I've never seen one to buy before but finally got my hands on one a few weeks ago. I only need a Flash to complete the carded Palitoy AF collection. Do you have one?

WOW!!

That snow job moc figure is extremely hard to come by mate, congrats on picking it up!!!!

Pretty penny???

I had a chance to buy him moc when I was doing my palitoy run a few years back, couldnt amass the desired funds for him so let him slip!and the rest of the figures from my palitoy run have long since gone....never liked the bubbles on them mate!

It is nice to see another one though thats for sure, the full set will be worth a nice sum......

Nice - Palitoy QC Sample as well! That's a 2 in 1 rarity :)

Finally got round to showing this off!

Not sure if we have any Thundercats fans here but this was another one of my childhood favourites both toys and the cartoon.

This is a painted hardcopy mail away Mummra complete with hardcopy staff (Hardcopy on the left of all pictures/production figure on the right) - it's slightly bigger than the production figure (especially the head), significantly heavier and its head and arms detach from the body, the pins are what keep it in place when its assembled.

Was my big purchase of 2011 and very happy to own a little piece of Thundercats toy history!

That's very cool. Is it super rare.
Yes, i've always been a big Thundercats fan. The stickers, Toys and tv shows were a big part of the 80s for me. 8)

Thanks Pete! There are a couple out there, mine is (IMO at least) the best painted complete one, there is another completely unpainted and another a little damaged!

I am trying to find some paperwork/advertising that shows the hardcopy Mummra photographed (probably on some packaging somewhere!)

This was the reason I got the mail away :D (which I finally tracked down completely sealed for $13!)

Joe that is awesome man. I have been so up and down with my Thundercats collecting I need to get back on it.

If you got a spare bundle of Cash Dom I could point you in the direction of a few nice pieces ;)

You got any protos/pre prod??

Have you tried a Thundercats forum? Something "lair" is one i signed up to once. I'll try to remember the full name.

Ok, it's called thundercatslair, which makes sense if you think about it...

Yeah there are a couple of places I could try! I will get on to it thanks for the link! I was trying to track down a cardback with the Mummra offer as it shows (what looks like) a hardcopy Mummra:

Same figure features on this packaging :

No mate and I sold my rare stuff a few months back when i needed cash.

My best ever ebay score was buying something listed as Battlecats Castle in box, no pics and a **** description. I asked for pics and it was a complete Cats Lair that I got for £30 in the end. Its an awesome toy, but the thing stank of *** smoke. Sold that 3 years ago for £350 and have regretted it ever since.

After I finish my possible mid life crisis and get my cash situation back on the straight and narrow I will get back to getting a loose set again. Thankfully the new series doesnt seem to have sent the vintage stuff insane.

 Yeah, get that over and done with mate and then get back to collecting toys like the rest of us.

God, the new thundercats cartoon is crap!. Did anyone on here have much Ghostbusters stuff. I remember Ecto 1 being a bitch to get hold of.

Nice score Dom! I figured it would be a wise idea to "focus" when drifting to other lines hence the odd bit of pre production from each line otherwise there is just too much to get and then find somewhere to stash it or display it!

I did the same with Kenner's Real Ghostbusters and Super Powers lines.

Jackabina - not seen the new Thundercats but with a new show it helps keep the interest up for the toys! Intro does look cool though :P

its not great joe. i agree about the interest, it also keeps the prices up aswell :x

Can't beat the originals eh?

At least Vintage Thundercats toys don't cost (quite) as much as many Vintage Star Wars

Thanks for the comments on the Transformers guys, I'd recommend getting them. Since we are still doing the 80s and Action Force has been mentioned, Full Force!

A small selection of the ones I have, they currently inhabit a small spare shelf.
