Other Vintage Collections

Awesome Emiel. I too was an avid Panini and Topps collector as a kid. Football sticker of course plus TV stuff like A-Team, Transformers, Ghostbusters, Thundercats etc etc and then, of course, Garbage Pail Kids.
Did you specifically collect Ghostbusters stickers?

As a Real Ghostbusters ( and GB in general ) fan I must say that is cool :) Nice one!

Cheers Joe. Something about that logo that still gets me. One of my favourite all time sticker lines.
You'll note the Dark Crystal box in the background too. Not a sticker/trading card line i remember but the movie is awesome and when i saw the box i had the pick it up. Quite cheap too.
I've got quite the little sticker shop going... :D

No, football stickers as I said mate. Oh and there was a Panini Mickey Mouse book I also filled I think.

Still thinking about buying some football sticker packs eventually, but they're bloody expensive. I especially loved the WC1982 packages. My father always took some home for me after a hard day's work. Good times. :)

Yeah the world cup sticker packs are really dear. I'm thinking about buying some boxes of the 2006 and 2010 ones while they are still cheap. The Mexico 86 ones sell for about £40 a pack!!

Sounds good, might do that myself.

Yeah quite a lot of money for a pack of stickers, but ah, the memories.

I honestly dont think I would resist being able to open one of those packs - I remember going down to John Menzies every Saturday to send all my cash on whichever sticker set I was collecting at the time SW/Gremlins/Football and then heading off into school on Monday to undertake the necessary swapsies

I have been taking a little break from buying up SW lately so here are a few Super Powers purchases:

That's a great article. So very true.
I will have to post pictures of my entire stickers/trading cards collection/mini-shop soon. It's getting quite extensive. And i've just started buying up old boxes of World Cup stickers to. :D

Hey Joe, I love the super powers figures. I did think about collecting them, but space is at a premium!
I think they are great value for money and I love the scuplts and paint apps. They look really crisp. Great work!

Some of you may remember a few weeks back i was hunting around for old Nintendo Game & Watch devices. I've since bought quite a few off ebay. Some cheap and cheerful, others a tad expensive but they're very cool and i aim to get more over the coming months.

So in the bottom picture, from left to right, top to bottom, you have: Donkey Kong (Orange), Donkey Kong II, Mickey & Donald, Super Mario Bros, Snoopy Tennis & Donkey Kong Jr.

Absolute quality - I remember having one of the orange Donkey Kongs and spending hours and hours playing it.

How much does one of those set you back these days ?

The boxed Donkey Kong and boxed Snoopy Tennis were the most expensive. DK was £40 and ST was £55
The other ranged from 15-25. A couple of the cheaper ones have slight faults.

look good Pete. I used to have the Super Marios Bros one that I bought from Toys R Us when I was like 10 and I must have played it for years! No idea where it is now unfortunately! Gutted.

Thanks Nick. LIke you i had that one when i was a kid. Remember it well. They're really difficult games but annoyingly addictive.
