Other Vintage Collections

yea i remember them, i had the skeleton you see at 12 seconds into the advert and I think the one to the right of it holding a gun. cool advert.

I also collect and play 'Airsoft' (actually it's how I met the wife!!!)

Basic description is like paintball but the weapons look more realistic and they shoot 6mm plastic BBs instead. They are fully automatic and come flying at you between 300 and 500 Feet Per Second. Yep, they ****ing sting when they hit you.

Don't really like all the ultra modern stuff any more - we mainly stick with Vietnam War Era and the cold war... Please excuse the uber rubbish 'mcnab' boxes but i'm painfully shy

And here's one that I customized myself - it's a bit more on topic for these boards!

SWEEET
I've played a few game myself, most of them private events. Your collection puts my meagre one to shame though
Still looking to add an mp5k and a nice m4 to my armoury as well.
I have a site not 15 minutes from my front door and i still haven't been there yet
Love the SLR's though mate

I've a few mates who do Air-soft. They love it.
A bunch of blokes from Northern Ireland running about in balaclavas shooting people (insert your own funny comment)

Wookie-Balls - If you know anyone who as an SA80 rifle I'm after one.

Doesn't need to work. Have a Harley MT350 which I take to shows for raising funds for The British Legion / Poppy Appeal - and the amount of kids that say 'Oi mister can I see your gun' - Just would be good to pull one out!

 nice jimmy,, natas focus and some cool everslicks too. its crazy when i think i focused some of them during the 1990's in some rage over a trick

lol , tell me about , strange thing actually , i realise the mistake it was then , but i still do it now ,

i do , change boards before i break them completly in to ,(saving all my old boards )

yeah i have started that too, as you get older and have a little more cash ,as soon as the pop is gone its new board time.
Sometimes i give em away to kids with wrecked boards in parks.
You know the ones that rip on a thrashed deck with nose an tail worn down to stubs.

but that is some collection of boards,, after seeing it i went roaming in ebay and i was surprised what they go for,, and how many reissues there are.

Nice Jimmy I've seen those pics many times elsewhere :D . I think we both thinned out our skate collections at the same time. I still have some a few my signed Tommy Guerrero & Hawk, a few NOS Barbees a couple of complete Chocolate sets and a few others. I just realised how much money I was sitting on with boards that didn't have that much sentimental value and so let them go.

Plus there were far too many dicks appearing in those collecting circles that I didn't like dealing with

lol ,same here , on every point actualy

i do still check in from time to time
as iam still selling some ofthe left overs

plus i still have some grails iam looking for , like kareem campbell boards en stevie williams

plus one particular board with a speeder bike scene on , wich seem to be more rare then the ****ing molds that make the blue snag

My collection of toys i played with in the 80s continues with these GoBots!
I've been wanting to get hold of some of these for ages just never got round to it until now. I was a big fan of GoBOts when i was a kid, even tho everyone saw them as a poor man's Transformers. (even tho they came out before Transformers), They were much more affordable and i could go and buy one at the weekend with my pocket money. I must have bought dozens of these things during the mid 80s. Also, as small transforming toys/vehicles, they were actually better than the mini Transformers counterparts. Much more varied and made of stainless steel.
Looking at them now they have extra kitsch appeal. They are just so retro! 8)
