One of my best buys ever-utter bargain!!! Comic related

Well chaps,i gotta say that today I got one of my most impressive bargains ever. I saw a guy on Ebay listing a collection of vintage UK Marvel SW,ESB and ROTJ comics missing only 15 issues for a complete run, together with a few annuals and specials. Obviously I was happy as a pig in **** when the wife collected them for me and couldn't wait to get home to see them. Its cost me my small collection of Palitoy cardbacks but it was WELL worth it. All are bagged, 70% are bagged/boarded and most of the issues with free gifts- still have them!!!! including the sticker freebies,badges etc in the Jedi run. I was expecting a few annuals but when I saw all these-wow!!!! specials,annuals the works,plus I need 15 or so to complete the comic run.

The price for this collection was...........£125!!!!!!!

Congratulations on that buy. I was actually one of the people watching that auction. I couldn't justify the price for my collection
because I don't need all that many issues to replace my ailing originals.

I have lots of spare issues if people ever want to buy them on the cheap or trade for the ones that I need for my collection.

It's great feeling the love for the old British Star Wars comics. There was a time when nobody else seemed interested in picking
them up. I've carted boxes of the blighters around to various stalls and shops that I have run over the years and hardly sold any.

That's great! The ROTJ adaptation is missing from the reprint books of the run.
I still have UK issue 171, because I'm in it!

IS that the ESB 171 as ROTJ finished at 155 I think. Great to get yourself in a comic bud.
