I took a chance on a Anakin recently:

It looks much much darker than most Anakins ive seen.....maybe its something special?

Cool, it does look very convincing. Contrast between belt buckle and robes is a good match and even the glossyness. The lighting does look very poor though - might of made it look darker than it is. Easier to determine when you have 2 standing next to each other.

Let me know how it turns out. That would be an awesome score. The seller doesn't seem to know a great deal about the item - when he says weapon missing ?!?

Yeah the "first shot" Anakins were dark grey like in the picture above. I think that's what they were, if i'm wrong someone else will correct me i'm sure.

As for Maxine , I was a star wars fan as a kid and loved almost all the figures but when I started collecting I didn't remember madine and I had to look him up and thought he looked like a 70's porn star
Tbh I get the rarity but I agree he is one of the dullest , but either you have money or you want it to complete a collection.

The Charcoal Anakin First Shot has no markings or date stamp. It would set you back several hundred quid, so if you picked one up for 12 quid that would be an amazing score. I think personally it's poor lighting, but can't wait to find out. Fingers crossed eh!

I still reckon it went for more than the "For Sale" price. Does anyone know for sure who got it and a t what price?

I would feel safer buying a beater with a yellow bubble. Safer on the wallet too

ffs! i was going through my cardbacks tonight and i cant find the madine tri card! as i already have a pristine rotj standard madine back, and with the tri i had being scuffed i think i must of put it in with a (bin) auction bundled cardback lot i put on ebay some months back doh! bastard.......
