Once in a blue moon...... The moon is blue tonight

I owned a Tri Jawa for about a yera when I was going through my Jawa focus.

I had no idea how rare it was when it first came up for sale.

I just found a photo of it...

It was AFA 50, think I sold it for about £850.

Wish I still had it.

I don't think that Madine will set at that price. It's such a shame such a shite figure demands such a high price. It would have been better if it was a cooler figure 8)

It is quite hilarious that (in my opinion) one of the most boring characters of the trilogy is, in this packaging, one of the most valuable.

I have been doing quite a bit of buying to sell in the last few months, it really helps to fund my collection. I actually enjoy it- it's fun finding the stuff and rewarding making a few quid on it.

I do have a family member who backs me financially if there is a real steal of a deal, 4.5k was a bit of a leap of faith though.... I saw them this afternoon and there ears pricked up at making 4k profit with ease though

Having said all the above I hope it went straight to a collector.

Oh stu you beauty! How I wish you had that for sale for that price now..... I would get in the car and come and pick it up tonight!!

Where did it come from mate? Amazing item dude :)

Like Nikto on POTF

Completely agree Stu. Always found it amazing that these 2 figures are worth so much and they command about 10 seconds collectively of film time

I think we might getting a little carried away with the tri madine here guys. I think someone could make a bit of profit by flipping it but not 4000 profit imo. I think you would have a serious job on your hands trying to sell it on for 9000.

Rare yes.10000 pounds rare. I think not. Just my opinion mind.

+1 very much agree Chris

Don't forget its a 75 peeps, many of the guys with endless wallets are searching for quality as well, sure it's a lovely piece but the bubble got a 75 and even 80 bubbles can have knocks and dents, (to me the sides look a bit warped but can't tell really)

I think you would for sure be able to find someone who would go as high as 5.5 possibly even 6k but you would have to dig and search for a while to find that kind of buyer with serious cash to dump on one, so potentially you could be 4.5k out of pocket for months and months till you find "that guy".

Pretty big investment if you wanted to flip and I am not entirely sure the amount you could make on it is worth that initial cost.

Let's not forget, it's also the shittest figure and shittest cardback ever released  I don't mind paying big bucks for things if they are good. But it's like the POTF Anakin - what a joke of a figure. Let's be honest, the only reason you're buying either figure is because you can afford to. Nobody would seriously think they are cool.

The topic here is the trilogo Madine that was sold on RS. The first one that says something about the RS mods again will be banned. I'm not saying this again.
Wow just shat myself when I read that - i thought i was in trouble - too funny

OK fair enough with the Madine but please don't put anakin in the same category. He is a cool figure IMO. He is/was darth vader after all. That definitely earns him some street cred.

Btw it nothing to do with the fact that I just spent a lot of money on an Anakin first shot either :)

So lads, hands up, who would have bought this to flip if they had 4.5k to spare?

I would have bought it and flipped it almost straight away- I reckon there was the ability to double your money on this one.

With an item like this it would open the door to some amazing trades- it really is an A grade item.
You know it's just a thought but just cause its advertised for 5k doesnt mean thats what it sold for. Knowing its popularity I am sure he received a few under the radar offers before it was marked as sold.

If I was interested and saw that for sale thread, knowing that there would be a heard of others sending him a PM. I'd go in a couple of £Thou over.

Unless anyone knows the guy who bought it and he's willing to be honest about the price?!?!

What exactly is 'action' about this action figure? It looks like it should be called 'Archbishop Dave'
