Does anyone remember this old shop near the city centre in Chester? It was one of the old style typical black and white Cheshire style buildings and was round! Walked inside and they had cases with army dioramas that I loved as a kid. It was a proper Aladdin's cave

I know this place quite well. I say that, I only went in there a couple of times but I've driven past it 100s it times. It's prominent location meant I always looked at it longingly as I drive past but it was just in the wrong place to stop. Great shop and a real cave, as you say. It's still open isn't it?

That's what I was wondering. Used to buy model airplanes in there and always remember the cool dioramas.

If it was open I would make a detour to it.

I was in Chester 2 months back and I'm pretty sure it was open then. Unfortunately a brief Google search suggests otherwise. I can't find any model shops on Christleton or Tarvin Roads :(

I distinctly remember being amazed at the WWII dioramas in there. The detail was astounding.

It's those dioramas I would love to see again. Also I am partial to a nice model (car).

Shame if it's gone. Not surprising though
