Obscure Power droid colour variant - nobody knows anything how about you??

So as per post title, nobody has ever been able to shed any light on this obscure variation I seem to have, it's a regular V power droid, but seems to have been cast in a different colour plastic to both the regular V or the short V variants.

Regular colour standard V on the left.

Lighter blue standard V in the middle.

Short V variant on the right.

I have put all the images in a thumbnails so just click to expand them.

Pretty sure I've posted on here about this before as well as many other places, but am still no closer to finding out anything about it that I was when I got it years back.

Thoughts?? & no it's not discoloration as far as I can tell as it's totally uniform inside & out.

Well for a start I'm colour blind!
TBF it is a completely uniform lighter blue, so not degradation as that would be patchy, could it simply be a specific factory ( smile, Kader etc) where they simply used a different colour dye shade in the plastic?

Not necessarily degradation but it could easily just be a slightly different colour mix in the plastic, I bet if you lined up 20 Lando's next to each other there would be different blues amongst them

nope not a bootleg, in every other respect (as far as I can tell) it's identical to other regular V's

Not necessarily degradation but it could easily just be a slightly different colour mix in the plastic, I bet if you lined up 20 Lando's next to each other there would be different blues amongst them

I hear what you are saying Edd, but not the cases with this I suspect as I have about 100 loose power droids with it being my focus figure & the rest are all uniform in colour, same thing with my Short V variants of which I have a fair few of & they are all the same shade of blue as one another.

I am pretty sure I have seen it before and I have different blue variants in my own collection. But it has been years since I last looked at my power droids. Have you compared the coo on them, maybe they are different and some coo variants match a special type of blue colour . I would say different plastic colour was used. Maybe from different factories, there is still a lot research to do on this

Well please do go check your power droids Lars as I have about 100 regular V's & like 30ish short V's & although the short & the regular are a different colour plastic to one another every other example of each I have are a perfect colour match to one another

Well it is my focus figure init, I'd like to add a few more just to fill the display but like everything now prices are stupid, I need to find some more total beaters so I can start doing more customs as I miss doing them, been way to long, this one's not blue
