Case in point: K-3PO. I thought it was a cool custom that Todd had dreamt up, until I Googled it out of curiosity just a couple of days ago... I had no idea the old protocol droid had such history. And to discover that he was held in such high regard by the Republic from the Clone Wars onwards (do I sound 'knowledgable'?), right up until spending his final days in charge of the Echo Base droid pool on the planet Hoth.

Myself, on the other hand... all of the gentlemanly demeanour goes right out of the window when confronted with an A-list celebrity. Here's a snap of me sidling up to the young Obi Wan at the London Tweed Run in 2011. My premise for accosting him (and pushing his two kids out of the way to get the shot... I know, utterly shameful)?
We ride the same bikes.
For all my bullish-ness, Ewan was a jolly nice chap, and we chatted throughout our journey of the capital pedalling away on two wheels... :lol:

And yes... I think I'll delve into those novels. I did read a couple of 'EU" books after ESB was released, but then I kind of tailed off and got into vinyl records and whatnot instead of vinyl toys back in 1983... time to revisit what I've been missing all these years
