oasis supersonic film

It's definitely not Edd. Before this thread I never even thought of Oasis that way at all. Sure they were all over the press but I never took it as a PR stunt. They were just arse holes. Talented arse holes 8)

Oh I'm sure some of it may well have been a PR stunt, but show me one band that's never done anything for publicity.

I meant it being fair to lump them in with manufactured bands

It makes me wonder what goes on behind the scenes. Do people actually think 'let's act like a cock, that'll be good for our career' and plan out what they are going to do? Or is it more spontaneous?

The classic has to be Chris Evans getting Sean Ryder on TFI Friday. Typical 90s nonsense. Evans must have known it would end his show. As for Ryder, those antics kept him in the limelight long after any major success he might have had with the Mondays or even Black Grape. But who comes up with this stuff!

went to see them support the Boo Radleys at a free gig in Preston. You don't go to Preston unless you are dedicated!

I was also at that free gig, avenham park in Preston just after supersonic was released.

Preston is famous! I remember going to that Heineken park thing. Didn't go to see bands, it was just where we hung out :p
