I have finally decided to bite the bullet and buy the PT on DVD ( I don't even have them on video)

Been looking on play.com

They have all three in a 6 CD box set, but it doesn't list any special features.

http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/6619180/Star-Wars-Prequel-Trilogy/Product.html

They are also selling them individually (which works out considerably more) in 2 disc sets, but lists special features.

http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/709820/Star-Wars-Episode-III-Revenge-Of-The-Sith/Product.html

Does anyone know for sure if the box set still has all the special features? It's the same number of discs, just wanted to make sure.

Gary the links you posted are for the Prequels!

Now! You could go with these:
http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/1011235/Star-Wars-Episode-V-The-Empire-Strikes-Back/Product.html

That have 2 discs in the box, one with the special edition and one with the untouched original movie on it!

OR

This one:
http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/3476444/Star-Wars-Trilogy/Product.html

Which appears to be the special editions BUT with the bonus disc of extras!

Sorry mate, I see what I did, must have hit the O instead of the P

Meant the PT. Hence the biting the bullet thing.

I would assume that the 6 disc set has the special features also

though HMV have them for £6 each!

OR you could not spend any money and save yourself being remind that you paid money for the privilege of owning that shite on a DVD!

Get them from HMV mate, £5.99 each:

Or I have them in HD as .avi files, happy to give you copies, well worth it if you have an HD TV and pc cable 8)

yeah definately worth having the hd files, you can then re-author them to disk and create you own funky menu...

Well gone for the HMV DVD's.

Thanks for the link Bollox.

I had resisted up till now, but the Mrs saw the OT and now wants to see the PT. Suppose I should be glad she's taking an interest.

Forgot to say, I got these DVD's.

Watched the Phantom menace the other day.

I hate to admit it, but it did have some charm about it.

Don't know really what I would have done differently though.

Jar Jar would definitely have to be out though!!!!

hand on heart i really liked phantom menace. jar jar was a twat but apart from that it has got some good moments..... and my kids loved it, it totally tuned them into star wars , and that was the whole point of the films wasn't it? to bring on the next generation of star wars fans

I enjoyed all 3 new movies..

Star Wars at the cinema was too hard to pass up again...

Out of the 3, Attack of the clones is my least favourite.
Strangely though I never had any interest in the new figures... Thank god, theres enough vintage still to track down :x

Ehh how's about writing a remotely half decent script, with a plot that actually tells you something you wanted to know and doesn't leave the final film with far too much "time" to cover! Or deciding that not EVERY scene had to be blue screened! Or getting a kid to play Anie who could actually act and wasn't an annoying wee ball root! Or telling Natalie Portman that the role demanded she "get them out"!

Not including Jar Jar is just a given.

I have to be honest i didnt really like any of them, it felt like a totally different set of films and i dont like to associate them with the first 3 movies.

i feel better when i dont interlink them and they seem more enjoyable to watch.

I think my son will love them just like i loved the others but its what you were taken with at that point in time.

Or a grown up actor to play Anakin!

Attack of the clones is only made worse by "i killed them...i killed them all!" - shame you didnt fall on your lightsabre you prick!

The feeding of the pear by using the force.......the rolling around in the field......its so ****!
