Ebay Retirement of old search system

Earlier this year we introduced a new search system. A small percentage of users chose to stick with the old system using an opt-out link. At the end of January, we're retiring the old search completely, so any users who opted out of the new search will be automatically redirected to the new search system.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I bet that "small percentage of users" wasn't that small!

FFS Ebay really is TRYING to **** off everyone who uses it.
The new search is USELESS!

I think your right Joe, the "small percentage" was probably about 80%+

The new ebay search facility is crap.
and so is there ( small percentage of users statement )
They should of said, we are ignoring the majority who prefer the old search.

The funny thing is that if they were so happy to let people decide on which to use while the changes were monitored, why did they keep hiding the "opt out" ?!?! one week it was at the bottom, the next week it was at the top and sometimes you couldn't find it for looking!

They pushed it on people and most people when they can't work something out just accept the change and keep on using things.

The vintage section has all these silly subsections and when I search by section I have to search "out of package" + "in package" ," contents new" and all this rubbish..

It was probably the only thing I still liked about ebay, you searched and everything was easy to navigate! NOT NOW!

I cant believe they have pulled that **** over 12000 people on the ebay forums complained!

Ebay do what the hell they want i pray one day the current management are held accountable when it all goes belly up!

The new search is ****. Ebay know this thats why they were letting us opt out in the first place.
Im finding less and less reasons to even bother looking on ebay.

Cheers.

Grant.

Yup new search is a pain in the ass. I hope ebay reconsiders forcing this on their users, but I highly doubt it. The last year or so they have made some pretty bad choices. I haven't been searching on there as much as I used to.
