due too poor sales a hard copy of the dandy will be no more as of december this year, theyll still have a online comic but its not the same, i loved the dandy and beano as a kid, corky the cat, cuddles and dimples and desperate dan were my fav strips, although i was more of a beano kid, i suppose kids are more interested in games consoles and social networking and iphones/ipads (the i generation) these days i guess. shame really im glad i was a kid when i was a kid, you never caught me indoors much i was always out and about causing mischief and exploring lol

It's a shame to see something like this happen, although given how much things/life has changed in the last 20-30 years it's not overly surprising.
I was never really a fan of comics as a kid. I always founf once you'd read them once that was it, and I thought they were too expensive for the 20 mins of reading/amusment you got from them.

Yeah, i used to get Dandy & Beano every week. I preferred the Beano. I also got Eagle, 2000AD, Match & Shoot! My nan spoiled me.

I used to get a mix of the beano, dandy and any other comic available, always got the bumper annuals at Christmas as well. Haven't bought on in a long time but it's a shame they've decided to shelve it.

As a kid, me and Dad would pick up Beano and Dandy annuals at jumbles sales. Rather sad to learn they're gonna stop making them. Got Eagle for a while then switched to Return of the Jedi comic from issue 1, most of which I still have. Went to mates house and his older and cooler sister had 2000AD which blew my socks off! Still buy Viz every now and then as it's great bog reading!
