No longer getting email notification when I get a pm - you 2

Nor me. Didn't even know you could do it till a few months ago.

Not sure what the point is in it though, is it such a massive effort to actually find the thread yourself?

Well said that man!, I see the point for subscriptions on huge forums where its easy to loose stuff, but they have the server capacity to deal with it - can't the subscription option be disabled here??

Seems like a lot of us are on here checking for updates every two & a half minutes, so no, finding threads shouldn't be difficult!

Agreed, it might be a more necessary tool if the board were bigger, but I've never found it hard to search for things if they've dropped off the front page.

Surely, if there is a thread you're particularly interested in you know what section it was in and thus all you have to do to find it is...........scroll down!?

Guys I'm still not getting any email notification of PMs or replies to threads I'm subscribed to even though I have the option selected for notifications. Is there still an issue with this or is it just me? :)

I think it might have been the attachments again?

Especially our junior member Kyle has been a bit enthousiastic in his limelight.

I've spoken to my hosting company (again) and they said there is currently a blacklisting problem with the server we're on, which explains why some emails are getting through but others are not/taking ages. They have offered a solution that I'm going to put in to place ASAP so hopefully that will solve it. Sorry for the problems once again.

Cheers,
Edd

Yes SMTP relaying is the other option, just need to figure out how to set it up. I will see if Gmail is an option.

I just enabled Gmail relaying as per Plantman's suggestion, I sent myself about 5 tests and all came through instantly. Hopefully that is the problem solved now :) Please let me know how you get on.

Just got my first one through - all is well - did wonder what the hell it was at first glance as it now says 'swfukemail'

I don't know - lads like Weasel will be used to getting similar messages from their 'specialist sites'

Can't beat a bit of sw fuk-e mail
