No fee for paypal gift payments on credit cards

Has anybody else noticed that you no longer have to pay a fee to use a credit card for Paypal Gift payments? Very handy!

I didn't know that! Is this a very recent change?

It must be within the last few weeks as I regularly send gift payment and it always used to show a fee for credit cards. It's potentially great for buyers as means you can pay via gift to save the seller fees but still have the fallback of credit card protection (possibly.) Not so great for sellers who could be the victim of a chargeback.

Just done a goods and services payment and no charge.
Not sure when this started, if it's a mistake or if it's permanent?

Noticed this yesterday when buying something and was pleasantly surprised! Was always a ball ache having to add funds to your PP account from your bank in order to send a F&F...
