No COO R2 sensorscope

I bought this on evil bay and I'm pretty sure it's the Meccano no COO version. It has the dull dome and GMFGI 1977 at the 12 o'clock position.

I know it's not mint, but actually it's nicer in the flesh than it looks, limbs are still pretty tight and there's very little sticker wear, it's just a bit grubby. I've also now added the missing sensorscope.

You can see what I paid which I reckon was a bit of a bargain but I'm interested to know what it might be worth as I'm thinking I might put him up for trade. I still have several expensive last 17's that I need to complete my loose run before I enter the murky underworld of variants!

Any ideas on this one? I know that it is highly subjective for variants but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The above is the same version (I think) and sold on here a while back. Obviously condition is better so the value won't be the same but it's a starting point.

Thanks for this, I wonder how much difference the condition makes? I know this is quite a tricky variant to find so I thought it might still be worth about £50. However that one is minty and went for £80 so perhaps not.

I was only thinking to trade it on but I actually really like it so perhaps I'll keep it and start an artoo focus instead!

To be honest mate variants and their values are like Russian to me, not a clue. Walkie would be a good one to ask (the original owner of the minty R2)

Thanks for confirming that Walkie, and thanks for leaving him for me! I'm gonna keep him for now as there's something about the figure that I really like, despite the condition. Artoo is one of my favourite as well so as I said, I think it might be the start of a focus!! :shock:
