A galaxy far, far away...
Just bought some items and it says they don't combine postage?!

Will I have to pay the £5 each package so £15 instead of £8 odd?

I have contacted the seller for an adjustment. Am I at his/her mercy?

That's a real bitch :( in theory you should have checked but like you I would have assumed combined postage is a gimme. If you go ahead and pay the full price (if they refuse to combine) then there is a possibility you could open a case once the items have arrived. You'd need to select 'not as described' and go for a partial refund, dependent on the actual difference.

I think what I've said is all correct but wait for Mr Gowdy our resident eBay officer :)

Most sellers are reasonable and state this in the auction. But guessing they have the right to send each item separately while being awkward about it.

However, if they take seperate shipping payments and then send in one package you will have a case that can be opened.

They are gonna combine, just received an email. It was more if a question than a complaint. I assumed you could ask for a combined amount when requesting an invoice. Just shows how much I buy on eBay!!

I don't know when it changed or where to look. They were quick last minute purchases because they were cheap!

Cheers.

Bram

P.S if they didn't combine I would've asked for them to be sent desperately.

Update!!

I just received all the items in one box... No star cases no bubble wrap just bundled on top of each other and padded with scrunched up newspaper, not only that but he forgot to put a figure in too!!

Anyway, I obviously checked the postage amount and he was charged £3.90, I have paid a whopping £15!! Cheeky ****er!!

I have sent a message but don't hold out much hope.

Any thoughts on what I can do to reclaim my postage money??

Thanks.

Bram

It's got to be a claim through Ebay. It's not as though the guy can say he spent the money on packaging. It's probably better to claim that items did not arrive as described. Failing that leave a neg. Contact the guy first though, obviously

It would't be very nice but in extreme circumstances if you buy 4 things from a guy and he charges 4 times postage then you can claim only one arrived. He will have to provide 4 separate tracking numbers to show each item was sent. Without that he's ****ed. As i said, not very nice but his own dishonesty has put him in that situation.
