Great to hear them play the lesser known 'Chic Cheer', that always brought the house down back in my warehouse rave days :D

I play that when i DJ quite a lot. Don't think i've ever not played Chic actually. 8)

I practically copied his guitar style he's so awesome :D All you need is a Strat and to get both hands moving and hey presto! - Nile Rodgers. Very exciting player and yet his stuff is so simple if you can nail the rhythm side. The part he plays in Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' is typical - four chords and a **** load of style 8)

He was great in that recent 5 Years documentary on Bowie on BBC the other week. Loving the new Daft Punk album too.

Always gets me grinning when I hear it, good times (no pun intended). You've got good taste, Mr Gowdy 8)

Absolutely, Nile looked as sharp as ever. You wouldn't see this gentleman taking to the Glastonbury stage in wellies and can of cider in hand.

The Glasto set was excellent. Astonishing how the the stellar hits just kept on coming. He always comes across as a decent and pretty grounded fellow in interview. 8)

Like I said the guy is a genius,

Sugarhill gang scratched a Rodgers chic riff ...then the immortal words
"said a hip hop, the hippie, the hippie to the hip-hip-hop and you don't stop"
This was around 79

Jedi June ...jump in anytime

The guy is embraced by all genres, and is one awesome cool dude 8)

Same here Barry, some of his riffs are awesome... once I nailed the one from Sister Sledge's "Thinking of You" I thought I was well cool

I've always wanted to play ( can find my way round a piano and keyboard)
Would love to play guitar,
:D
Btw if you can play then in my book you are well cool 8)

I've always loved music, but have absolutely no 'musical' sensibility in order to play an instrument... so hats off to Mike, Barry and Rob 8)

I'm a novice musically

We've all got rhythm ...just a matter of finding it :D

There is always air guitar...get a queen track on and away you go

You would think that. We had a drummer a while back who was well into his music and loved playing but just could not keep time. Sacked
