Hello all,
I have finally decided to sell my vintage star wars collection and am a bit clueless as to where to start. I will give you a brief background of what I have and maybe someone can assist. I am new to this forum so please excuse any school boy errors.

I have about 80 original figures ( in tupperware ). I also have all of their original weapons and costumes and I also have the original Cards they all came in ( some in better condition than others ). I am unsure of how to prepare these for selling. Do I buy bubble and reseal figures on original card ? Or sell loose with card and accessories. I also have a lot of ships with boxes but for the moment I'll stick to the figures and maybe get some of your professional suggestions? Thanks in advance

Hi mate

You have come to the right place and providing you don't think that you are going to make your millions then I am sure we can all give you a hand.

The first thing to sort out is - are these vintage figures i.e. from 1977-1985 - if they are not then I am afraid there is not much interest for them on here.

The next thing to do would be to take some pictures and post them up on here so that we can see what you have and give you some valuation ideas

Certainly do not try and recard these figures as there is not value in doing that at all.

Hope this helps

Cheers
Iain

Thanks Iain,

Ye these are the original Kenner 77-85 figures. I'm 32 now and from 4-10 collecting star wars figures was my life.

Anyways I take on board what you advise and I will start the ball rolling with pictures. I havent even started taking pics and I have all the weapons in one Tupperware box and naturally can't remember what weapon goes with who. So I'll put it all together and get some pics up and look forward to your opinions. By the way, having the original cards but opened from 25 years ago? Is there value to having these ??

Nice one - there have been a couple of people come on here with the newer stuff and it doesnt go down too well :D

This is a very good site to have a look through in order to match up the weapons

The cardback are worth something dependent on their condition, if they are reasonable then you should get between £1.00-£2.00 each for some of them, especially the rarer Star Wars ones

If you get the pictures onto photobucket or flickr then you can post the links and people will be able to give you some advice on what you have and how much it is worth

Hi again folks,

Took me awhile but I eventually got all my old stuff as organized as I could.

So here is the link to the pictures and from here on in any guidance on price's and methods of selling advise would be appreciated. Selling the lot in one bulk might make life a bit easier but i'll wait to see what you have to say...

Thanks in advance......

I should have added that all figures have all their original weapons and accessories, I was missing a couple of items but not many, mainly stormtrooper guns.... Also duplicate pictures mean I have two separate figures.....and most of the loose figures without hardbacks have weapons and accessories as per picture......

I would quite like to buy a few of your old cardbacks when you work out some prices :)

Sending you a PM

Yep James I've sent him an offer on the Jawa card and some pricing for his loose figures if someone wants to help him with the boxed stuff? :D

Funny, i just sent a pm asking about 8 of these figures and was told that he didn't actually have them... apart from Stormtroopers. Very confused now. Not really sure what that link was for if non of the figures in it are available.

Confusion between messages there PGowdy

All the figures are available that are on my original photo bucket link.

Nothing has sold as I only posted the link up an hour ago.....

Just to let everyone know I live in Ireland.

Also, I am trying to put together some sort of a price list with all of your advise and then I can move the items to the Selling part of the forum....

that tri-jawa is a beauty

Hope you and Joe come to a good deal
