Hello everyone ive just found this forum and thought id say hello

I've been collecting figures for the last 10 or so years, buying a few every now and then sometimes with years in between, having the odd spell of buying, this week ive bought a few more, once they are delivered all I need is 2 more ( a nice snaggle tooth and a royal guard with staff ) and a couple of variations , then that will just leave me with the last 17 I think ive only got anekin, but I've got a nice complete collection with mostly original weapons and very nice display quality figures , I'm not a serious collector just loved them as a kid

Now I'm thinking about how to display them

I'm wondering is there anywhere in the uk or anyone on here who make and sell anything like the amazing cabinets that the American website figuredisplay.com sell ? I'm sure you all know the ones but they are expensive and uk shipping would be astronomical and risky

Wonder if anyone can help or give me some ideas on what I can do to get a similar amazing display effect

Thanks :)

Hello mate, welcome! If you want a fairly compact, flat kind of wall mounted cabinet just for displaying figures there are loads of companies who make them. Do a google search or even on ebay there's people who will make them to order and loads of different sizes available. You can get them with hinged or sliding doors. Some are pricey. I made my own out of mdf, its 800mm x 600mm x 120mm deep. You can see it in the showcase section. Hope you find what you need, good luck :)

Thanks mate ,I've seen the usual collector cabinets and Argos lidl ebay types around £60 ,I was going to get one snd might even still , but in having a Google I found the proper custom star wars ones ones on that figure display site and thought WOW, and wondering if I can find something here in the uk

I had a good look stound on here last night , so many jaw dropping collections it's unreal, I saw the thread by Neil with the ones he was going to make but then said he changed jobs etc and could no longer do it :( is there anyone else ?

Drop Neil a message as he might be able to do one as a one off - his cases looked fantastic

I have a couple of these:

Argos sell them (pricey at £179.99 though!). Managed to pick up one at a charity shop for £30 and another on eBay for £27!

I will do , just noticed the pm thing is up for me now it wasn't last night maybe because I am new , they look great . Failing that I have a couple of ideas il make a post about this later this evening with my ideas

That looks great rob, a bit too big for my needs tho , I love them diarama things I regret not buying them years ago much cheaper than they are now I saw the other day £70 odd they look great in there , I just want to display all the single loose figures as a set , ive also got a complete Rebo band and jabba set , and a speeder bike with flaps etc all in perfect condition , I want to get a hoth wampa and maybe a dewback and that will probably do me

A few years back I sold the vehicles I had, at at and walker snd mini rigs etc , thinking its a slippery expensive and hard to store slope if I start collecting them , along with loads of loose and chipped figures snd doubles, to just concentrate on collecting a complete mint set if figures

I've had a nice burst this week , can't wait for the postman to deliver them all over next few days and il get them all out and post up some pictures to see what you guys think

Who are the best sellers on here ?

I do have a little wants list ..

A complete royal guard
A nice red snaggle tooth
A power droid antenna thing if pos, or nice complete droid
Nice hoth wampa
Ideally in a bulk deal altogether
A nice ugnaught with no paint loss on face , can be loose without Cape and case as i have those

Then that will leave me with just the last 17 to collect up as and when

Cheers mate I saw that post last night , need to pop to lidle n see if they have any , are they likley to still have them ?
