These have been selling for around £400-500 of late, will wait to see if the next one will go for the same as this one.

Wow these really are starting to jump up in price. The cape looks to be in great shape although with the chips on the hands I'm wondering what the grade would be if that's what the buyers thinking of doing. If it graded at least an 80 then they could make money off of it even at that price but hopefully it'll go in someones collection as it is.

I do have a graded loose vcj but still love the loose one I have more even though it has a small tear at the back of the cape. At least the tear is around the back though so it's out of sight and I also picked it up for 80 GBP a few years ago so it's win win! :D

The funny thing though is that I've bought and sold 2 afa 85 loose vcj's in the past and then ended up buying a UKG one  After learning that lesson I know that I need to keep hold of these in my collection. I'll probably end up passing them onto my kids or decide to sell them once the bubble's burst.

I find it so hard to let anything go as the collector in me just loves having these things to look at and enjoy :D

Well I have just been asked to sell an AFA85 for someone and they would like $1795 obo - so will see what happens

Well if it ends up going for close to that then it'll make this little figure out of a lot of collectors price range ( it already is anyway though!). It's crazy that this has happened really for a figure that isn't really that rare at all. I can see why the graded ones are going for more and more though as there are so many repro capes out there it makes it a very tricky job for new collectors who have never owned one to pick up one they know to be genuine.

Good news for the sellers but not so good for the buyers.
