Natural degradation

I've seen the brown spots on a Biker Scout from my collection. It was stored with other figures and they haven't got brown on them.

The most annoying thing i've experienced was the bubble dropping off my MOC Meccano, mis-bubble Yoda. Bought it back in the early 90's and at some point by 2000 it had almost completely detached. Stored at room temperature in a cabinet. Just one of those things

If I remember correct I have a few biker scouts all with the same coo and all have spots, I have the same problem with some kenobi figures all again I have found with the same coo have spots  I am beginning to think that some coo variants is there a good chance to find with spots :?

I have heard the spots comes because the plastic is in poor quality but I do not know if that is true :?

Star Wars figures ought to be around for millennia after we are...

They'll probably out-live the modern ones. I reckon nowadays they probably use super eco friendly, super flakey materials!!
