jayjedi said:did anyone else see the story about the girl with cancer at christmas. she stopped the therapy as she wanted to spend the time she had left with her family and not in hospitals. she died a couple of weeks ago, she was 16 years old. she always had a smile on her face and her family said she was always upbeat. how the **** does a 16 year old kid do that...... and i think i have problems sometimes ![]()
the worst story though, the one that still almost brings a tear to my eye even today is about a 10 year old boy. he had terminal cancer and was told he didn't have very long to live , he asked his mum, that after he was dead if she wouldn't leave him alone in the dark, as he was scared of it. his mum put a small solar light next to his grave aftwe he was gone. i dont know if its because he was the same age as my lad but it really gets to me and the bravery of that little boy , not of dying but , but of being alone in the dark. he's my ****ing hero and if ever it hits the fan, i know if that little lad can face what he did then i can get through my **** too .
the fact the the local council made his mum take the light away because it breached some local authority bullshit just makes me amazed
I heard about the girl, hard not to be impressed by the guts someone so young has when their facing something like that!
We need more people, with guts, like that in this country and less of these wanker who are prepared to blame their problems on everyone/anyone else.
As for the Council what the **** where they afraid of the light short circuiting and burning down the graveyard? WTF, everyone is DEAD anyway!
