Mystery Part Identification

I was having a tidy up and I found this mystery part inside an old plastic bag. It has a firing mechanism that propels the missile from the front of it like many Hasbro toys, but I can't place the part. Does anyone know what it's from please? Thanks.

The real mystery now becomes, how is it that I own this part, but not the toy itself?!

I used to own a boxed one, but I sold it unopened years ago, so at the risk of sounding like Blackadder, where the clucking bell has this come from?
