Hi everyone,

I'm an avid vintage Star Wars figures fan and collector but I also have a collection of figures from a film close to my heart. The Dark Crystal! It's a childhood thing and I just want to share this collection I have:

Awesome! I can see they are busts tho i can't imagine the film was popular enough for actual figures?

There were actually figures made but they were never produced unfortunately. These statues/busts were made much later. These are by MINDstyle, Plan B Toys and one of the Chamberlain's is by NECA.

God I loved that film back in the day. I do have a copy and it is pretty sinister (just trying to find another word for 'dark' there :? )

Our kids didn't really get it and I think it freaked them out a bit. The Skexis are frightening beasts alright. The sets are beautiful. An incredibly well made film.

Nice stuff, I have that film and remember going to see it at the flicks as a kid, an ex member of this forum has a collection of the I produced figures you referred to, there are I think from memory only two know sets of those pre production figure in existence, if you do a search on here under the user name josh, I know he posted some photos up of the collection, so they may still be on here somewhere.

Hey! Thanks! :)

I'm very happy with these and they display very beautifully! Definitely great items for a Dark Crystal collection. As for the unproduced moc's and deluxe figures. There are only 2 complete sets known to exist and buying one of those sets will definitely set you back considerably. Justin/Josh had one of those sets but sold it years ago.

Such a brilliant underarated film with great creature designs by the creature shop, it inspired me to get into sculpting and mask making, one of these days i'll make some lifesize character busts, starting with a podling, cool spudlike creatures.
You have a fine collection, and they look ace, very nice.

Fantastic figures for a fantastic film. I remember seeing the film at the cinema as a lad. We missed the start but stayed put and watched the film again - you can't do that these days
