my prop work from over the years

Heres a few props i've done over the years, first up is a 3p0 helmet i made, this one was made for a collector who wanted the beaten up prequel look, made from fibreglass and had light up eyes

full vader suit on a mannequin, the armour was a bit big for this mannequin

small scale yoda in carbonite

here is a prop i made again for a collector, lukes lopped off head from empire
heres the clay sculpture from this i made a mould

here is the two part mould

next i make a latex and polyfoam head, here is the unpainted head test fitting in the helmet

now the finished head

Next up is a michael jackson bust, i love MJ and wanted to do a sculpture based on his most iconic video thriller
Heres the still i used as referance

Heres the rough clay sculpture, i tried to get the likeness down first before i added the makeup

and nearly done with the zombie look

Bloody hell mate you have got some serious prop making skills!
That Vader is amazing and I've just "stole" the picture of Yoda and set him as my background
Can see quite a few members contacting you with work requests in the future

Cheers mate, yeah i've been sculpting and making stuff for years i trained as a makeup fx artist originally, most of which i was self taught

Hope this non star wars stuff is ok to post, i sadly haven't done that much star wars, but i do have yoda on the cards for this year.
Next up is ET as a kid growing up when i saw this movie i identified so much with the kid Elliot, no father around divorced parents, i just loved the idea of something so alien yet so human, i drew this guy over so many times i felt like i could sculpt him in my sleep
heres a couple of pics of the clay sculpture, i took my time on this sculpt took me around ten days to sculpt

this first ET i had to rush to finish, so i wasn't entirely happy with the paintjob

the next one i took my time on, this is my favourite piece i've done

i plan to take my time on my next sculpt which should be yoda

next up is a restoration i did for a friend, he bought a predator mask from someone online, after many months and emails, he eventually got this, a boss eyed piece of crap

I offered to fix it up for him, took me a while but i managed to get it done, heres the restored mask

heres an avatar bust i painted for a friend

And a couple of dr who busts
an ood

and one of the smiler busts from the new series, this one was never finished

heres a fett i painted in a rusted up way, like he'd crawled out the sarlac pit

newxt up is my own version of the karl fredrickson character from the movie 'up', i sculpted what i thought he would look like if he was a real human character, just a pet project of mine, his hair was individually rooted one hair at a time, the bust is silicone

Heres the shrunkenhead guy from beetlejuice, love the movie so many cool characters

heres an oddball item i made for a collector, a ghoulie puppet, lifesize to the movie

This is a reaper bust from the movie blade 2

This is a bust i made for my son, he was doing lessons on greek mythology and wanted something to take in, so after one busy weekend i created this, a minatour,my own design, he was made up

A freddy bust i did, this is a test piece i made to see what it could look like in sillicone

heres another test piece again in silicone, this is my face ripped apart, lol

this is a lifesize freddy prop, with a moving head, i love the nightmare films

Does anyone remember that scene in jaws when the head pops out the bottom of the boat, gave me my first real scare when i was a kid, old ben gardners head frightened the hell out of me, so i knew when i could i'd have to make one

Heres my very first go at making yoda, not the best one but i was only just starting out, he was full remote controled with eye movement and jaw movement, eye blinks and head movement

i'll be making him again soon hopefully such a brilliant character, i'll do my best to get him looking the part
