Well I thought i would post up pictures of my other Hobby i have which is just about as expensive and hard to find parts for like it is collecting Vintage star wars.
This is a Ex Raf English Electric Lightning Jet fighter and this one is the most famous one ever as just about everyone has seen it in its former life as it was sat on the side of the A1 at Newark in a field for about twenty years.
I have owned it for about 2 years now after it was scrapped and slowly restoring it when time allows as just not enough play hours in the day .
Hope you like :)

And my seat for it sat in my living room lol

Sorry bud but looks like you've bought repro!
Always ask for some advice if you're not sure, post some pictures up so we can comment before you spend any money.

It's the stickers that give it away, did you pay by paypal gift?

Can i just ask in what sense are you restoring this? It's probably a fair assumption that it's never going to fly again, so are you just tarting it up or going the whole hog and making it like new?

It will be fully restored to as it was in service. It will never fly again obviously but will look just as good as the day it was built hopefully. Its mainly a investment Cost to purchase 3.5 k when finished value is between 12 to 15 k so pretty good investment for my kids :)

I drove past that bugger every time I went from Ipswich to Leeds and back - love the pics - can't even imagine where to start with restoring something like that but fair play to you for doing so

Kool, I don't suppose it's any crazier a pastime than collecting little pieces of cardboard and plastic from a certain silly space movie from almost 40 years or so ago. 8)

bet your missus aint too happy with an ejector seat sitting in her living room where the sideboard with the doilies on should be!
