So I brought a Falcon the other day as part of a collection.

It's a strange one. No stickers applied (sticker sheet is in there). The ship is lovely and very much unplayed with.

The weird thing is the ball and arm. The ball is smooth. Now I had heard that smooth balls can come with Palitoy Falcons (and this one is a palitoy one) but that this could just be a myth?

So what's the deal here you reckon fellas? Smooth ball? Or bead replacement??

Never seen that before, looks like a bead to me. :?

I'm probably wrong and it's a Palitoy one. :p

Hi mate I have the same issue. The falcon I have is mint but its the same problem. My ball is a pink colour and smooth but I am not sure if its a fake or not :?:

From what I remember, the round ball is the one most commonly found with Falcons found in the UK. I think my old one was round too.

Sure there are some threads around to help, I'll have a dig later.

Jamie mate it's obviously repro shite, I'll ping you a tenner for the whole lot (falcon, sticker sheet) and you can move on and forget about the whole unpleasant experience

No no don't thank me, that's what friends do :D

I think I have one that's bigger that the other, see if I can post a pic up

Here is my pink smooth ball! C3PO stood in to show the scale of it.
The Falcon is totally mint and was listed on e-bay as mint and complete. Have I been conned again by some seller who knew this was fake or is it a different veriant? The string also looks to long attached to the ball or bead!
Has anyone else a ball like this?
