Hi Todd, wow love those custom moc. How do you make the helmet for luke ?

Wow Old thread for sure!!!!....but worth it for the above :lol: :lol: :lol:

To answer the question....I just drilled lukes face and head out of the helmet, then smoothed it all out. :wink:

Sounds great, any pictures or video of how you did it ? :D what did you use to drill and to smooth it out with ?
 
Have never seen these before Todd - they are fantastic - you could honestly sell loads of these if you got back into it - that Luke X-Wing is the business
 
They are still alive and in my collection. Thanks for the comments guys. I could go back into selling customs on the bay...but with so many thieves, crooks and ********....I will pass. I will stick to doing them for myself and forum members.

Yeah - if you want to get some sales going then I'll take one of those Luke X-Wings straight away
 
Yes..you can buy customs from me. I do most of my work during the winter months as there is not much to do in the snow anyways. I take requests for customs, so If you have an idea I can make it happen. Always keep in mind I do these one at a time as I am not one of the huge customizer/repro guys on the bay with the slap it together cookie cutter mentality.......so it takes time. Prices vary on the amount of working and the sourcing of materials.

I am currently back logged again due to Frank (Damn power droids) at this point and June is on the waiting list.

Crikey. I'm so glad you brought this one to the fore, Lars (and your "Warning: old thread" always makes me chuckle :lol: )

Todd, I'm trying not to be too gushy here... but your customising skills are positively interstellar. I love the Walrus Man on the Knickerbocker card... I was already thinking about committing brush to canvas to reproduce the Luke and Leia logo as a painting... now I'm going to give it a go, for sure.

If you're getting back into it, can you add me to your waiting list? No pressure, I'll wait as long as it takes (a year... 18 months... no problem, I understand these things don't happen in the blink of an eye)- but I'd love to buy the above mentioned and a K-3PO. I see you've commented that it's possible to DIY... but it wouldn't be the same. If you're happy to take on my order, then let me know when you need funds and I'll wing over the payment via PayPal.

And how thrilling to happen across an original Augie post- big smiles all round :D

I will put you down for them. Soon the kids will go back to school and the snow will fall...that is when I usually start cranking these out.
 
Just seen this thanks to the Thread Resurrector. Great work Todd, and Augie is one seriously troubled unit :D .
I would also love a Luke X-Wing if I can be added to the waiting list behind Iain and Martin, along with a Boba Fett on a Knickerbocker card if thats possible. :)

Used a cordless drill and a smaller drill bit. Removed a little at a time. I wish I had a dremmel :D

I think now is the time to treat yourself to that Dremel, my friend. Looks like you're going to be rather busy in the months ahead... those winter evenings will positively fly by :wink:
