More Repro Figures To Come

I cannot believe anyone would spend £22k on making tooling for a problem that doesn't need solving. The other custom pauldron looks great. So what if it restricts the arm movement? I'm sure the play value for grown men won't be diminished too much.

For such a small run, why not get a soft tool made?

My worry here is that you've spunked a shed load of cash for a vanity project and got a little narked that the potential market you hoped existed has been less than enthusiastic. If I want a sand trooper, I reckon I could make a decent one by bastardising the parts from a modern one and placing onto a vintage one.

And for that, I'm out.

Thank your for caring for the financial aspect of the project, dont worry, at this point all is under control. I hope not to loose it in the long term.

About the figure, do you actually believe that FROM A VINTAGE STYLE POINT OF VIEW this:

looks better than this?

Forgive me, I disagree with you.

It seems a bit unfair to keep piling on the guy,if he has contacted people in good faith not had a reply thats not really his fault, at first everyone was concerned about ormes involvement, now it just seems personal, and no i'm no fan of Ormes,

Thanks mate! I apreciate your faith. And as faith should always be rewarded, please check the picture of my last statement and search through the album.

If..... and for some of us, it is a big if, he sticks to making custom figures then he will have no problems

I know we have not had the best of exchanges, but I apreciate also that after all, you have the door opened to the possibility of me keeping my word.
Im sorry if I was rude at you in my first statement.

Arturo is using classic divide and conquer tactics (which isn't bad for someone claiming that he doesn't speak English very well!).

Spot on, Iain. I interviewed dodgy people for 11 years for a living and I lost count of the amount of times this trick was pulled. Quite effective if you don't know what your looking for or reasons behind it. Always made me chuckle but it annoyed me the way it was done here. Between that and edited posts I think someone here couldn't lie straight in bed.

Both of you are wrong on this, but to proof Im telling the truth would imply screen scans, it is not fair for the third involved.

No worries Arturo - you weren't rude but you just have a very different view point on the existence of reproductions in this hobby than myself and a lot of the people I know

I've not got a problem with the figures, I just don't know why the pauldron is so small? Looks a bit off to me.

I agree the Pauldron on Arturo's looks too small - really that element is the main draw of the Sandtrooper custom so it should be big and proud!

Arturo, the figure in the top right is my own Sandtrooper custom, made with a genuine vintage figure and only costing £25. I really think you need to look at the economics of this. Take a look here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CRAZY-Toys-Black-white-STAR-WARS-CLONE-TROOPER-STORMTROOPER-FIGURE-S234/391019396220?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140122125356%26meid%3D7fa8b35398274714b5a4ec3a6888230e%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D161764036628

That repro 2 pack of Stormtroopers selling for under £5. That is what the market deems these as being worth, I do not think you are going to be able to sell them for the $100+ amount you require to make any profit.

I remmeber now where I saw your customs, you shared your collection on rebelscum 3 years ago, and it was very impressive, I have studied your customs deeply, You have several from Isashi, right? You will found it funny that people like you, are the ones who inspired me in my project. As you said, you have very impressive customs. I think I have designed better solutions for Owen, Beru, and 2 or 3 more. Your Tarkin is very nice. I would love to keep in touch with you in the vintage studio facebook page, I believe you can contribute a lot. And I also strongly believe you need my sandtrooper patrol in your collection. Your awesome collection deserve it.

FINAL STATEMENT
Well, Im really surprised how easily was to call me a lier. It is an unfair acusation.

Old Tom Berges remembered this week something that I have forgotten, the last scene of "wargames": when the computer understand the game and explains to his creator that the only way to win the game was not to play it.
I cant win this one, where I wish to seed sharing, friendship, some guy automathically seeds distrust and malcontent. For me this is more a personal affair than a hobby matters. In fact this actitude is damaging the hobby more than a ton of reproductions, people prefer to leave boards instead of to be under constant unwelcome pressure. Just check the numbers of the forums...

It is not how I envision my project, and not the way I want to be in contact with you.

However, and although it sounds a contradiction, there is a way to win, for all involved, and that is to make a great custom, and to provide a great service, respecting all your concerns about reproductions. That way we all win.
So that is what Im going to do.

Probably some of you wouldnt be so much concerned about me making reproductions if I have started with a completelly new sculpt like the Rebel fleet trooper or Muftak. I choose the sandtrooper because I had to test the capabilities of the factory, and the existence of the poontroopers gave me the confort level I needed to press on them.

I apreciate the fact some of you consider I was lying when I apologize myself for my use of your Languaje, I was not lying, maybe, and according to your own words, I was just understimating me.

I resent the fact that my HIGH END CUSTOM PROJECT had been presented here in bad faith as a REPRODUCTION PROJECT, that was dirty play.
It is up to you to decide.
It was funny also to be acused of using "divide and conquer" tehcniques, I dont want to divide anyone, I want to share something, with all of you.

Well, said that, my hand is still extended to any one who wishes to aproach my project.

Im leaving this forum now.

But I leave here something I developed to clarify even more this thing to anyone who still have doubts of what Im making:

Thank you Arturo, and look you have had a bit of a rough ride here. But on the subject of the creative customs alone - putting aside the Orme connection - I think everyone is supportive of that. Given the costs you have told us I am worried about the financial viability but I do wish you luck and will be interested to see the final products. :D

Thank the lord!

No ****

and as far as screen shots proving you modified posts...there are a few where we quoted you. Funny as you say prove it with screenshots instead of I did not do that. I thought this was dead. You seem to pick and choose when you claim a language barrier.

Now **** off.

Grabbing the above before it gets edited.

hi everyone.

I did this yesterday for a nice thread on rebelscum, It is how I envision my project to evolve, hope you like it and finally vanish any "repro" concern you may still have.
Pd. Just in case, I use different guns, as did with the sandtrooper, from the real vintage ones to avoid confussions in any character I may be able to actually make.

Well as this forum is for, and I quote,
Discuss vintage Kenner and Palitoy Star Wars toys from the 1977-1985 era
kindly peddle your wares back on RS, I've heard they need the traffic anyway.

Thanks for popping by.

EDIT: Sorry, just realised there may be a language barrier so let me make it a little clearer for you;

**** Off :D

Troll??
Do you actually believe Im expending so much time, effort and money in my project just for trolling?

Hey Lejackal, it would have been a lot more relevant that you pointed the goal of this forum months ago, when I was brought here under wrong accusations, not now when my project is finally taking shape and the wrong accusations are evidently lossing floor... however who cares.

It would be a lot healthier to accept some of you were wrong about me and most important, wrong about the nature of my little project instead of keeping stronger this hate barrier.
Repros? I still dont see any one made nor planned to be made.

I will leave you here pages 2 and 3 of my project´s catalogue, again in good faith.
Why?
Because althought It is obvious some of you have decided to hate me just because, Im pretty sure among your ranks there are people who apreciate what Im doing, my goal is to give something, to anyone open minded to receive it. Worldwide fans response have been very positive.
See you in a few months with my next installments.
