No steve, the plot is not complicated.
I saw there were still questions form Walkie and Yoda that needed my attention, so I returned to address them. Plus a few freindly messages I got at facebook about this thread requesting more information. What can I do if more people have interest? be rude and ignore them? that is not my way.
Bonsai_Tree_Ent , Frunkstar , steve obi wan and Steve, thanks for your concerns and opinions. Dont worry, I will not extorcionate with high prices, nor will scam a few ones with auctions of "one of a kind". This is not about money as Ian Sanderson suspects. My price point range will be among 30 to 40 dollars by loose figure. It is expensive, I know, but affordable, I have seen people paying 100 dollars for a custom, I have payed more than that for some customs (awesome pieces by the way). I know that price point will not cover the cost of the mould, however I plan to reuse the mold for the creation in a future of an spacetrooper and a Han Solo in stormtrooper armor. The sketches are available to visit in the facebook page. I know I probably will loose money, it is quite a certainty. But as said before, this is not about money, this is about sharing, about legacy. I have been blessed in my life, I have been given the gift, the capacity and the resources to plasmate in reality my project as an homage to my childhood. And now Im trying to make it extensive to a few selected fellow fans who share my feelings. Some people hate my project for what I can see, ok, it is their right, they can stay out, I will not flood the markets with my figure, that was never the plan...once the first figure is sold out, I will address the next character and will continue until I get tired, actually that has been always the plan. The worst thing that might happen is that I end with a full army of sandtroopers to recreate a bizarre arrival of the emperor diorama. Im not forcing anyone to buy my figure. It is up to anyone who actually wants it until the LIMITED stock is over.
I realice that so much animosity in some guys against my project is not entirelly for the project itself, it is a personal affair against me as most can realize just reading the threat. What can I do? Im not attacking anyone, I was attacked for free.
However on the other side, I have already 127 names on a wait list, and believe it or not, 11 are form this forum.
So there is actually positive interest in my project. I havent even presented the final figure, and the 50% is already taken in less than a month. I havent requested money to any one, until I have in my hands the figures and make a proper inspection. I clarify this because Im sure some guy will profetize I will make a fraud.
About the people I tagged, some answered, some ignored me, but the fact remains I did the job of contacting them and let them know. If some ignored me, is their right. But Im not working on the shadows, I DID THE JOB OF LETTING THEM KNOW. And I dont know why Kim would be angry, I respect him to the bottom of my soul, same with Bill, I urge you to check the message Kim left me in one of the captures I posted. Kim, as I have told him several times, is somehow the inspiration of a lot of my work. I did hours and hours of wake dreaming watching his job at the catalogs when I was a child. I love that man, and only wish the best for him.
