I got the full refund by PP today :)

Lucky sod... Its looking doubtful that im going to get my money back now :(

The rufund was from ebay directly (not from sellers account), dunno if that is standard now days?
I did file claim through ebay and not PP though.

Well the latest is another email from Ebay. They are starting a new case. Again. So its another 10 days before i can ask for a judgement to be made. Its pointless as the seller refuses to refund me and so mediation is a waste of time. Another two weeks to wait. It really takes the piss.

Sux ... it took me around 35 days, numerous emails/live chats and a phone call to ebay before my refund was granted.
Hang in there mate

Good luck Ed keep fighting mate, glad yours was refunded Hayd!

Some nasty bastards around !

Ed,

keep going mate and NEVER just give in, it took me 6 months and a threat of legal action against paypal for me to get a full refund (£270)
they ( ebay, paypal, sellers ) bank on you getting sick and just writing the money off mate

Andy

Thanks for the encouragement lads. The bloody seller has worded his case in such a way that even I doubt my own case, i know it sounds ridiculous but even i would rule in his favour. He has told very convincing lies- i will try though, i have forty quid tied up that i could easily spend on some lovely vintage!
I will keep you updated lads.

Ed can't you forward them this thread link and the RS thread?

See if you can get onto a representative on the phone perhaps ?

Can't see how you aren't winning the case when everyone else has mate.

Update lads....i opended another case, got into a lot of trouble with ebay...... Got drunk then left feedback. Called him a c*nt......got my feedback blocked and a slap on the wrists.
I dusted myself off and started again, put it very simply, the item arrived not as described as it was damged in the post because it didnt have proper protection. GUESS WHAT...... FULL REFUND! Got to send it back to him and then i get my refund. Its only taken a couple of months. Ebay have even given me a five pound voucher to cover return postage. Finally sorted! Now im after a nice chewy moc!
Thanks for the support lads, i had almost written this one off but your words spurred me on! 8)

Love how the way that when you call him a c*nt you then get a full refund!

Ebay must have been shitting themselves and caved!!

Well done Ed :D

Well done Ed, glad you got it sorted mate.

I hope that prick ****s off for good after they sell up, wouldn't want people like that to stay in the buying + selling game.

Can't believe people can send MOC's in jiffy bags, damage them then call YOU the buyer nasty names?!?!

Cheers chaps, im glad its finished, my lesson is learnt and we can all learn from this.......if your having trouble with somone on ebay call them a c*nt and then make a claim
I think another thing to watch out for here is sellers with overly girly names selling vintage. Ive noticed a number of auctions selling itemss with staged photos to cover damage or tears etc and then claiming "im only a girl- i know nothing about star wars" also if its too good to be true it usually is. Im avoiding ebay at the mo, i dont if anybody else has noticed- the quality of thr stuff for sale seems to have fallen, its mainly uninteresting loose figures or buy it now overpriced mocs. The market just seems to have dried up.

Best stuff on ebay is overpriced indeed, I still check but I haven't bought anything on ebay for a long long time, sometimes you get the odd bargain but to be honest the forums are where the good buys are-plus the ratio of cockheads is much lower :D
