Hi all.

I was wondering what the value of a MOC Palitoy 30 back 'B' Bespin Leia (second photo) would be? It is in very good shape, punched, clear bubble, no dents in the bubble, very nice card. I'd say C-8 or 8.5 overall.

Thanks,
Bruce

Great to be here! I figured if anyone could give me a value for a Palitoy piece it would be on a UK forum. :)

I'll post a pic later tonight when I get home. Still at work right now.

It's a REALLY nice MOC.

Well, I have a few Palitoys, so might be able to help :D

Now that's an understatement!

So here she is:

The really odd thing is this:

Sorry for the blurry pic here.
There is a "K" stamped on the bottom of the footer. The color of the footer (on the top side) is blue, as it should be. It does not look to be tampered with. The seal all around is original.

So...what do you think?

Bloody hell Gary a mere mention of the word Palitoy and you are on it in a flash!!!

Looks a very nice piece,if it's available it should fetch a good amount for the seller.

Wow thats a stunner!

I will be keen to hear what value is placed on it by "The Don" of Palitoy

(And other Palitoy collectors too )

Its a cracker Bruce (and hello!) No idea on price but I guess upwards of a few hundred in that condition, £450+?

Hi, Joe! Good to see you here as well.

£450+? Sweet!

I'm curious to see if I got a "good deal" on this piece. My knowledge about the Palitoy market is limited, to say the least. From what I've read, some of the 30 backs are more rare than others. And it helps to know what I have, should I ever decide to sell it, which is doubtful. I only collect MOC Leia figures ( I love her character), and this fits nicely in my focus. :)

Don't listen to me Bruce I haven't got a clue! But it's not like you can find one of these and in that condition every day of the week on the bay! Most things Palitoy which are SW+ ESB logos go over the £200 mark so I just guessed lol

Gary will give you a better ballpark :D

Hi Bruce
Some people are prepared to pay. really big money for 30bks over this side of the pond.

If it was available(which it isnt) I'd go to £700 ish as it looks in great condition.

Cool collection by the way 8)

Haha he was impressed with £450 Lee don't make him **** himself!

If we are talking current values of 30 backs then £700 is a pretty reasonable average.

Leia, just like the luke has an interesting variation

The 30b Leia is by no means as rare as the luke 30b. The luke is one of the rarer 30 back ESB characters. However, can't be sure whether the 30b leia is rarer than the 30a

For either, £700 is a good price. But palitoys have been doing wierd things recently and even some more common ones have been hitting the 1k+ mark

£700? Wow. Thanks for the info, Gary!

I knew just from tracking (and buying), that prices have skyrocketed in recent years for certain foreign (to USA) MOC figures. I paid a LOT for my Meccano 20 back Leia a few months ago (more than I've ever spent on one piece), but she's a keeper. I still find it difficult to get a feel for the value of some things (like Palitoy), when I haven't seen one for sale in a long time. At this point, nearly every price guide is practically useless!

Thanks, also to everyone that's chimed in with their help. It is much appreciated.

And don't worry guys, I think she has a good home.

Cheers,
Bruce

A great piece Bruce and in super condition too. Looking forward to a group shot of all those carded Leia's

Cheers Mate. They are part of a considerable Palitoy Focus last year, just before everything kicked off badly for me!! :?

No problem Bruce, glad to have helped, but like a few have said, prices can vary a lot. With star wars collecting we aren't really talking in absolute values. Certainly at the moment, £700 would be the minimum.

All the best with the leia collecting!

Bloody hell a word Palitoy mere mention of Gary, you can flash. Looks very good one, if the seller should take a good amount.
