Depends if you want a partial refund or if you want to return it. If you want to return it just return it. Open a case saying the item is damaged and you'd like to return it. Don't bother messaging him personally. No point. You can message him within the case.
And yes, you WILL get refunded. Just don't mention it's the packaging that's damaged.

If you want a partial refund contact the seller first say "the item" was damaged in the post. DON"T mention it is the packaging. See how he responds. If he doesn't respond favourably or just plain doesn't respond open a case don't communicate further. Again, in the case DO NOT mention packaging. Just THE ITEM. "The item arrived damaged due to poor packaging (you can mention his packaging just not the item's ;))

Personally i'd just return it to the ****er for a full refund. He's never gonna agree to give you the 80-90% off that this kind of damage warrants so just give it back to the fool and let him try selling it in that state.

Agreed, never mention damage to packaging. Even though you have bought this as a MOC so the card and bubble is important, eBay don't see it this way. They basically don't give 2 shits about any packaging even if that's the most important thing about the item you have bought.

Message the twat and tell them as a result of their incompetence they should also cover return costs, if they don't agree neg em but if they do agree then a neutral is fair enough.

So bloody frustrating though :x

'No returns' doesn't apply here so don't worry about that. 'No returns' just means if you don't fancy it anymore and wanna send it back just because.
The item is not as described so you can return it. End of story.
Again, you can mention it was damaged due to the way HE packaged it you just can't mention that it's the packaging of the item you bought that got damaged.

also contact ebay live chat and tell them (when the return is agreed) that postage is going to cost more than the item is worth, they will create you a returns postage label for free and they charge it to his paypal lol

Never heard of Ebay live chat - mmm need to look into that, great tip there.

I got a MOC in yesterday - sent in a Jiffy bag with some cardboard around it!!!

got a 50% partial refund in the end. gonna flip it back through the bay as a cardback and figure

to make matter worse the beater moc i bought in question was sold as having a crack flap held together with tape, (fine i thought) was told the never the figure has never been removed too there knowledge (fine i thought)

After the figure arrived damaged (figure head smashed through top bubble) i found it had a reproduction weapon :x also i paid for second class recorded it was sent second class standard.....

in hindsight i should of kept my mouth shut and filed for package never received as i paid for recorded as stated in the auction serve the **** right in this case it was a female seller bitch :x . gonna add sellers too avoid list
