This seems to be a bit of a running theme at the moment - reading a lot of the Facebook forums it seems as though there are a group of people out there that think it is great to open these up and can't wait to tell you that they have done it

I find it pretty sad really

Agree with you there Iain. Seems to be getting really bad on the fb groups, particularly compared with the forums. The worst is that they seem so proud to bust open MOCs and want to rub in our faces. The thing is, these people won't last long in SW collecting. Well hopefully they don't....

Hmm ..yes :? Funny how no members on here are doing this **** yet they are on RS

these people are like one day flies, they won't last long in the hobby.
They pop up, start collecting some random items, open some moc's and stirr up the crowd. Then disappear....

Sadly with each off these fools that come around, some Moc's are destroyed.

What a prick! I've been after a Tig Fromm for ages, turned quite a few beater cards down too, if it's on a card it should stay there. Every MOC that's opened is a travesty.

It's the "They are just toys" mentality and "They are mine so I can do what I want". I am ****ing tired of both lame ass reasons for destroying ****. When I started collecting in the early 90's it was a great feeling when you went to toy shows and seen all the carded figures...no matter what shape and they were cheaper then and considered newer. At no point did I look at these as "Cool..these are toys...me want to rip open"......I was respectful of the fact that they were not open and lasted that long sealed. Now between the lobotomized U grade lovers and these ****ing inbred tools opening them for fun.............................I am at a loss for words at times and wonder what the **** goes on in their mind.

"Hey.......going out to buy a pricey vintage car.................then going to crash it into a ****ing wall......it's just a car...and it's mine."

It is truely amazing how that forum kicked several of us off for voicing our opinion, yet a piece of **** like this ripping open sealed figures is perfectly fine and half the members are encouraging it. I guess some of us old timers are dying breed that consider this act one of the more ignorant things you can do as a collector.

On a positive note...we have none of this on here and for that I am thankful,

Only Jabba

That's crazy.
Oh I'm in such a rush to complete my collection.....
Patience dear boy!

In fairness, only 1 guy is saying open it and about 10 are saying don't.

A 10% stupidity rate is pretty good in this world we live in IMO.

On some of the FB groups it is at around 80%.

Idiots

The LFB EB I found in an antique shop with original saber, then the daughter in law lost the saber, then it turned up tip missing.

My first gutted reaction was, " he's had that saber for 3o years plus", I was mortified  sorry for keep mentioning it but it was a shite experience.
That's how original figs, mocs etc make me feel. So to wantonly break open a MOC, just cause they can is beyond stupidity for me.

No vision, no sense, no decency or regard for others, just selfish and small minded pratts.

No way of stopping it, shameful
