Mobile phones

Ok chaps, im due an upgrade, tempted by the iphone4, ive got a nokia n97, it was a great idea but the phone is a bag of ****. I want to use it for the internet, it would be nice if i could post on here with it as my nokia wont let me!!! So which smartphone/ iphone is the best at the mo? Any help apreciated!! Ideally id like to stay on vodaphone but its not the be all.

Thinking of doing something similar. My current phone is utter dung.

PS, I'm useless with techonology so don't recommend something that requires 15 engineering degrees to figure out, cos I'll get ****ed off with it and smash it off the wall.

Iphones are pretty cool and great for accessing the web, some cool apps etc, although im an IT guy im not really into phones as a gadget, i prefer to call-email and browse the web, a nice blackberry curve or an iphone would be ideal.

Thanks andy, i think i will be going for the iphone 4, that hd screen looks good enough to eat! Now to find the best deal.....
Direct with the service provider or through a third party, phones4u carphone warehouse etc?

i think 3 had a good deal with the phone for £60 then a standard contract fee txts 800 mins i think
