Just sold on facebook - would anyone like to try and guess the price?

Come on the suspense is killing me!
Can't remember if these came with the displayed blue snag if it does $1000 since it looks a beauty. If it's the red snag then $600

is that high or average then?
To me high but I have no idea what one of these is worth tbh. The most I've ever paid for anything is £160 although that's probably because I only ever buy what can be bought from my wages or paid off in full the following month.

U wouldn't b able to tell with a sealed example unless u opened it :!: The example with the red Snagg is actually much rarer but everyone would want the blue Snagg.

6K! Pretty awesome for an ungraded piece :!:
The box looked superb 8)

so was it 6k or £1800?
6 f-ing K

Ignoring the crap that something is worth what someone is willing to pay is that what these things are worth?

It was indeed $6k... I don't recall what the MISB Pali Death Stars sold for at Vectis but is this a new record for a playset?

Just done a bit surfing and found this;
"
An example offered on May 27 was part of the firm's first Palitoy Employees sale - a hugely popular event featuring items from three former factory staffers. Proof that Star Wars toys are the hottest area of the juvenilia marketplace, The Death Star, described as 'mint in near mint box' and estimated at £1500-2000, sold to an internet bidder at £4400.
The next offered on June 25 did better still, taking £4800 but there were a few signs of market saturation by August 12 when a third example (with an indentation to the box) took a more modest £1500. The remaining two Death Stars will be sold later this year with the last one offered with the empty trade box.
"
The later one with the original carton went for £2200.
I'd rather have a mint sealed Palitoy Death Star

Well possibly the best condition Palitoy Death Star in existence sold last year at Vectis for over £5000. It was the best one of the factory case full that turned up and graded an unbelievable 90 at UKG

A few years ago I saw on the Brian's Toys website that an AFA 85 example of the rare Kenner Canada Death Star play-set(that included two Stormtrooper figures I believe) had sold out at a price tag of $15000

To be honest I couldn't trust myself with a sealed example I would continually be thinking that I've got to open it and view the pristine contents.
I would open it within 3 days.

This is true I knew the original owner who sold it before BT's got it. He sold it for $10k. I sold an 85 graded Sears Cantina for $7500 back in 2009 and an 80 graded one not not long before it for £3000.
