Just in case anyone might be interested, I will be setting out a Millennium Falcon and Blockade Runner display at Loncon - the World Science Fiction convention 14th – 18th August. http://www.loncon3.org/index.php
I’ll be displaying my giant Lego Millennium Falcon, a scratch built card model based on the Haynes book and whatever else I can get built in time. I’ll also be setting out a bunch of new schematics and drawings. I’m presenting a talk on the Millennium Falcon/Blockade Runner on Thursday 14th at 4.30pm.
I held back on announcing my participation at the convention because I have been booked to appear at events before, only to have been cancelled at the last minute (they’ve printed the programme, so they’re not going to cancel me now). I have two free tickets to the display area of the event but not for the convention as a whole. The display area tickets can be upgraded to include the entire convention at 50% of the usual asking price.
