Memorabilia 2014 NEC November

I went to memorabilia and have to say it was trash, Darren of starzone was there but other than that there was next to no vintage just ruff figures and junk, there was not really many vintage toys there in general, just loads of that cheap tacky rubbish kids like to blow there pocket money on, the layout was a little all over the place IMO also

Jim Stevenson is not to well so is not doing many shows these days and i was told he has had a falling out with the organisers, even though his stuff is a little to rich for me it's always a lovely sight to see his stall

I left after an hour and a half and don't think I will be going again

Sounds rubbish. How disappointing.
Just proves how spoilt we are with the fantastic Farthest From events.

It was rubbish and badly organised. I cant wait to go to my first ff. How's about following the radio 2 carfest model, 1 in the north and 1 in the south?? Has that been suggested before??

Does anyone know how much stuff Jim 'Mr star Wars' Stevenson has got these days?
I bought an 'okay' boxed Pal Deathstar off him years ago advertised in Collectors Mart. I was working in London at the time and he was in London doing a tv show so I did the exchange in his hotel room. He seemed a good age then and he told me about how he and his son bought up loads of bargain basement star wars in the mid 80's when the toys weren't fashionable anymore. He's obviously made alot of money out of vintage Star Wars and fair play to him for having the hindsight.

I went to the Newcastle comic con earlier in the year and that was a wash out with t-shirts and autograph opportunities and just one or two stalls with loose and tatty boxed vintage. I did see Carl Weathers signing autographs which was the highlight for me.

Just back, very little vintage as mentioned but some great art work and always good to see the cosplay also nice sandspeeder prop and pod racer I guess I will just have to keep buying on the forum :)

Awwww shucks :)

But remember only those that come get spoilt ;)
...... and the extra cost and time travelling is probably equivalent to the entry fee and two hour queue some folk were prepared to put up at Mem.
Three times a year ...... three times a year! :)

I think it's going to have to happen, just can't find any vintage about at events any more :( but can't bring my girlfriend, she is really bad at saying.... just buy it lol
