Hi everyone

I have been collection Star Wars ever since I was a little girl. Over the past twenty years I have compiled a very large collection of items of both toys and memorabilia. Although I adore my Star Wars collection I am expecting a baby and regretably something has to make way and it has to be my prized Star Wars collection.

This is an absolutely fantastic opportunity for someone to begin a Star Wars collection or to add to an existing one. I have approximately 280 items all available in one lot. There are far too many items to list individually but some of the items include vintage boxed vehicles and playsets such as: SW Land of the Jawas, SW Droid Factory, SW Creature Cantina, SW Troop Transporter, ESB Millenium Falcon, ESB Slave 1, ROTJ Slave 1, ROTJ Jabba the Hutt Playset and much much more.

My collection also includes 12" dolls, model kits, figure carry cases, a vintage lightsaber and a very rare playmat!!! Also available is modern figures, toys, games and accessories including two handmade metal sculptures of Jar Jar Binks and Boba Fett.

I am looking to sell this collection as one complete lot and would not be willing to sell any of the items individually. Now to the important part I am looking for arounf £5,500.00 for this collection but would be open to all sensible offers. If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me.

I have posted a picture but as I am new to this I have only managed to upload one. However I have made a short video of all my items at the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RBGosrvPkls

Guys, it's a girl.

Nice collection, but the best way to sell things over here is to give a detailed description of every object (what's the condition, is it sealed or opened, complete with inserts or not, stickers applied or not etc.).

Also, you can pretty much forget about selling the modern stuff on this forum.

I thought they were kidding emiel! Is that the first female post on these boards? If so, after mine and bolluxs comments it could be the last. :?

No offence meant mi lady

Agree with Emiel, and selling modern and vintage together in one lot is never gonna work. At least separate into modern and vintage.
Just my opinion.
Good luck with the sale either way.
:)

Hi Guys

Many thanks for your input. I have had a lot of people saying its strange a girl collecting Star War lol. I will see how things go. I didnt really realise that people collected certain things as I just tneded to buy anything that was Star Wars. I recently sold all of my carded figures to one collecter and just wanted to try and get rid of it all in one go as it is a reluctant sale

No doubt there are people out there that buy modern and in bulk but they will probably do so for resale and want it for nothing, I don't know what anything modern is worth but considering there is a tonne of it out there and nobody I know is throwing good money at it your asking price does seem a bit high.

As a bit of advice for here at least if you are looking for a sale on this forum, you would do well to list and photograph ONLY the vintage stuff you have left, you never know you might get a bulk buyer- some of those boxed items look in decent shape. People are sticklers for condition though so photographs and content lists are important, you have your work cut out for you if you decide to sell on the internet (and possibly piece it out)

Good luck !

Am I the only one who groaned when he read this!?

As the others have said the modern stuff you will do well to shift on here, and TBH you'd probably do well to shift it full stop.
The vintage vehicles do look to be in good nick, decent pictures and descriptions of them and you may get a few offers on here, but NOWHERE near £5K.

Ohh and you will have more luck selling if you split it up into individual lots. Yes, I know it's more hassle for you and you're pregnant ( ) but you're restricting your potential market to a handful of people, who will of course play hard ball with a forced seller.

Nah mate we had a member called "scruffy looking" years ago, who was female, she even posted a picture (and I still have nightmares about it). Then there was the time Jabba signed on using an account he had set up with his missus' photo and proceeded to flirt with Boba :?

depending where you live i will give you 50 pence for every modern fig you got and come and collect em. Fetch em here i will give you a pound a fig
