Paul Armory
Padawan
I believe that once a year is now going to be the norm to see so many I consider my friends.
I know some of the guys, sure, but not all so when I was introduced as Paul Armory to some fellow SWFUK'ers something that was repeated in response to hearing my name, with a Big smile was..."Hey I know you" It was awesome to hear considering I tend to walk a line of modesty it really meant something.- Thank you
Flying in from Singapore I was pretty ****ing pooped from yet another long flight to log in the books. At the hotel a couple days before celebration began I was tired and little alone, understandably. I called the wife and she attempted to console me (as a great best friend would do) and she said, "go see you friends" and I replied I have no friends as you would expect a juvenile to say. Due to the exhaustion from the flights and being on the tube felt a bit depressed and let's not forget a new city taking me further out of my comfort zone.
The first day of CE3 began. I still had no contact with anyone, nor had I tried from my end to make contact, and I proceeded to start the queuing process. After making my way inside the Excel I had a 4 hour plan for my CE3 experience. A 4 hour plan for my whole experience  Looking at the celebration website and trying to figure **** out was not as easy as you would think. Statements about wrist bands and chutes were a tad confusing so a 4 hour plan would have to do at that point.
Part of my 4 hour plan included getting to the SWFUK booth. I had to get my fresh Meccano book  This pick up of the book would of course have to wait until after I sat in on the Mark Hamill panel. So I was done with Mark and headed up to the booth and then it began
One friend after another and I could not have felt prouder. The first friend was Richard H. He immediately thanked me for a quick video I made for him, like 2 years ago, or something like that. We had never met so it was great!- Thank you.
The pints. Oh the pints 8) Now the meets have to have the pints. Star Wars, pfffft. Celebration, pfffft. London, Pfffft. It's the pints and laughter  that make it all. Now of course it is the second year of a yearly tradition of reminding me of how much piss I cannot hold in the blatter as I once could. Which is fine with me. -Thank you
Guys thanks sincerely from a dude who has no problems showing his sincerity and respect for you. Your friendship and company helps in my sanity. Collecting vintage Star Wars is not about the items alone. Having friends is a big ass part of this, for me at least
I'm in the UK until Saturday unless my employer re-routes my flight away from Turkey, which they need to do during this turbulent time, so I maybe leaving a day or two later than Saturday.
Your friend- Paul A.
P.S- For the record (for any that do not know): My surname name is a Scottish one (Cummings). The name Armory has a sentimental value which is why I use that
