Major loose variations??

I am one short for a complete set of loose vintage Star Wars figures, so I would like to know of any other major variations other than the below. I am not concern with the COO variations or foreign variations.

Ones I know:

1. Jawa - cloth and vinyl cape
2. Han - big and small head
3. Snaggie - red and blue
4. Luke farmboy - blonde and brown hair
5. Sand people - hollow tube (would you class this as a major variation?)

I'm sure that someone will be along shortly with a link to a list as there are probably loads.

You have the most obvious ones, but also consider;
Biker Scout - standard and short mouth version
Ugnaught - Blue and purple cape (some folk argue that these are just the same cape faded)
Imperial Hoth Snowtrooper - Separate eyes on visor and combined visor eye piece

I'm sure that every focus collector on here will tell you some variant from their specialty

As Jez pointed out, there are loads of variant collectors on here.

For example IG88 Silver version really well sculpted ( which over time tend to go a bit gold in colour) think because of ageing to the plastic, then there is the grey IG88 similar but not as detailed as the silver version, easily shown on the head comparison and there is some sculpt missing on the right leg I think on the grey version, plus hollow tubes

There are loads of references on RS and TIG to use as well

IMO the foreign variants are a little more exciting, for instances glasslite Matt painted gold c-3po, glasslite light brown chewbacca with unpainted bag.

The short mouth biker scout is lili ledy therefore a foreign variant.

How about White/grey haired Ben kenobi, boba fett tri-logo's loads of painted/unpainted knee and darts variations. Powerdroid dark blue long vee, light blue short vee. Lando bespin painted/unpainted teeth. Luke bespin yellow/brown hair, Han hoth and rebel soldier with cream or pink faces.

The list is endless with variants, but I hoe this helps?

Many thanks for advice!! I am looking for major Kenner variations, like the very obvious ones rather than the infinite subtle differences especially with the foreign variations.

Hi there.

There is also a cool poster floating around that shows the vast majority of the major variations which is pretty cool.
There will always be people that will want to add figures to it, but it is a great start IMO.

There was a post here about it but the download link died over time.
