Luke Stormtrooper Blaster

Can someone tell me about this flashlight test, is the whole blaster that transmits light or the aiming sight above the barrel?

My luke stormtrooper barrel end is rounded at the bottom....

Ok so Marcus up to his usual standards sent this speedy fast.

Looking at it, the gun is jet black. No hint of green or blue at all. And no hint of repro.

Next, the float test. Passed with flying colours.

Next the torch test (pic below). Absolutely no see through

Here's the pics. What are we looking at here???

Well, I'm still sure it came with my luke stormtrooper, and the pics I found online on the previous page show him holding this gun.

Unless someone has been present at the opening of every moc, I don't see how it can be proved that it didn't come with him. Nice to know everything I said about it has been confirmed with the tests etc.....
 
Marcus, are you sure you didn't own a droids Fett at anytime. The square barrell is the only thing. We need a photo of a Luke stormie moc with this gun. Iain??
 
What kind of light are you using? It does not even look like its on, if you can, try a really high power light source.

If you as the buyer are willing to accept that the sculpt grossly deviates from every other established blaster made for this figure, than enjoy.

IMO, this is a simple Boba Fett blaster...

Also, owning something for a long time should never be used as a measure of authenticity.
 
What's your endgame mate? I offered him a refund straight away, what's your problem? You haven't commented in what aussiejames has said because it conflicts with what you are saying, I'm saying that this came with my luke stormtrooper, end of!

I am still 110% happy to give a refund and I will get hold of my luke from my sister and pair the two up again and put them on display no problem. You have made your point, thanks for your input :D
 
I just went through ebays completed listings and couldn't find a sealed figure without a rounded end although most of the ones on ebay were pictured from the front and not the side, so I certainly didn't get to see them all.

I think it's possible that more than one version could exist as I'm guessing these figures weren't just made in one place (please correct me if I'm wrong on that last point). This is certainly what came out of the thread I posted earlier on this thread about Boba Fetts Droids blaster.

I'm sure there must be a few people on here who have sealed Luke Stormtroopers in their collection so maybe those people could come forward with their findings, it might help a bit with this whole thing.

Maybe a separate thread about the issue would be the best way to go...

Your integrity is not in question for me and the other SWFUK'ers who have dealt with you but the thread has thrown up some interesting points that IMO need addressing. It would be nice to know for sure if there is only one blaster variation with Luke Stormie as his blaster has caused issues in the past, on here, RS and between me and my bro :wink:
 
Yeah I agree a thread in the collecting area would be far more appropriate, I'm wasn't worried about my integrity, I always try to be a nice guy and do the best by people.

As far as the blaster in question goes, Jamie and myself can sort that out between us, Iain will let us know what he finds in his moc's and we can go from there, either way Jamie is free to return it for a refund regardless of the outcome.

Its not personnel, its about the item and learning.

My bad for turning your sales thread into a study, I apologize for that, truly. I'm just really interested in this area of collecting.

There's no point in a study and learning if you are not willing to learn new things yourself, aussiejames said that there's a possibility of this blaster being issued with luke, all the data needs to be taken into account, whether you agree with it or not. I used a super bright torch on the gun when I tested it and the blaster does not transmit any light anywhere,that's something your going to have to accept.

Anyway like suggested before it would be good to start a thread in the right section for this, and that's not here.
 
On a side note Werent tri logo cards nortorius for having mis matched weapons? So it may well of came with this figure in any case
 
I think I have the same blaster. Completely black but no pin marks doesn't let light through, so be interested to know the outcome. :roll:
