Anyone See the Luke Farmboy Palitoy ESB 45 back that ended up at £4,700? I presume these dont come up often but what kind of price would you usually expect?

Bloody hell did it get that high - it was a beauty but that is a lot of cash - maybe Gary will know why it went that high

I think any of the first 12 on a 30, 41 or 45 back seem to command a high price. I'm sure someone else can confirm but I think they're harder to find on an esb card.
Got to agree though that prices are getting silly now !

As far as I know that is the first time a factory sealed example had surfaced on the secondary market, it's that rare!!! That was the reason the price sky rocketed as a few serious players were involved!

The authenticity of the piece was in question initially and the seller only having 2 hits didn't help the integrity of the whole matter. But after a bit of work it looks like the piece was authentic and apparently the seller bought this piece back in the early 80s retail!

One of the rarest 45a's and the rarest Palitoy carded Original Luke in existence :!: :!: :!:(unless someone can find a 30 back)

That's what the seller told me! If true it makes
it a little more special 8). I have some pretty awesome Palitoy MOCs in my collection but my well played with childhood SW toys mean so much more to me in many ways :D

Oh yeh he started it at a fiver and said he would have been happy with £50
