I never really understand why loose AFA 90/85 and U grades are always listed at stupid prices, i mean you wouldnt buy say a weequay, barada, or even yak face on card for the prices they ask for loose.

Ive seen and even sold figures loose graded for higher than a beater with a cracked bubble, where you could get it u-graded yourself and save loads of money.

there are u90 graded death star droids on at £350, robbie explained why it was rare but i still dont understand why you wouldnt just mass purchase it on a card and get it graded yourself.

This is just a small example http://tinyurl.com/d66uno i mean you could buy a beater on card for £10 and get it U-graded, AFA or UKG i mean you would save money either way.

Your ****ing spot on tho mate!

I spoke to a AFA 'U' collector about this recently and he said its just because you can't guarentee the grade you'l get sending in beaters etc.

I'm with you tho, i'd send in beaters etc and hope for a good grade.
